Meanwhile, In Rooskey

at | 44 Replies

Last night.

At the Shannon Key West Hotel in Co Leitrim.

Three fire brigade units responded to reports of a fire at the building which has been earmarked for a direct provision centre and which was the subject of a suspected arson attempt last month.

Last night RTÉ reported:

“…there is no visible signs of a blaze or smoke emerging from the building, and an investigation is under way.

Locals say a report was made that a non-identified object had been thrown on to the balcony on the first floor of the building, but this has not been confirmed by gardaí.

The scene has been sealed off and a full examination will take place…”

Your loss, buddy! It’s lovely around there. Hence Lovely Leitrim.
Though obviously some of the locals are total geebags.

No worries! I’m just a west-brit having a cheap dig! I heard there’s good fishing spots up there. I’d probably ignore the locals though. They seem a bit behind the times of every social issue by the poll records. As always, I blame the church.

It’s a pretty county. Yup, lots of fishing and Shannon-side beauty spots.
Can you blame the church for in-breeding? Probably.

Last episode of Moone Boy (Season 2)
Martin: “Who knows where they’ll end up, probably India?”
Seán: “Actually, I think they said Leitrim?”
Martin: “Leitrim? (sharp intake of air) … Now that’s what I call living!”

      (just watched it last night)

I heard they were going extra racist by speaking as Gaelige. They’ll never find Rúscaigh now! haha…racists are so stupid.

Owen C, Gemma never expressed her views on the migrant issue during her run for a Presidential nomination. Her ticket was anti-corruption and that is why we featured her on Broadsheet.

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say no.

She’s fallen somewhat off the deep end of crazy hasn’t she?

She was on about the storm last week being a weather conspiracy, hard to fathom how far off the deep end she’s gone.

Though I think about it, I did feel what can only be described as a ‘suspicious breeze’ on my way to work this morning.

Yet she still has a large enough following of supporters on her Facebook page. Which means there’s more out there that are just as dangerous, mental and racist as she is. And THATS REALLY scary

Maybe she’s copped onto the fact that embracing a right wing, racist, antivaxx, conspiracy prone following will earn her a fortune and give her the attention she wants

Yayyyyy. I’ve been torn about unfollowing her. I continued in a “keep your enemies close” kind of way but found her racist and conspiracy bile depressing also.
Now it seems like someone has made the decision for me.

She retweeted some guy warning that the UN wants to abolish private property which is one step in George Soros’ plan to eradicate 90% of humanity and enslave the rest. A retweet is not endorsement but come on.

Yeah….yeah….YEAH!! Let’s just laugh at all of these other people cos we’re right. Lets not listen to anything they say or try and disprove their information…cos the human race would never be so dastardly.

Anyone who tries to use that sort of argument about Trump, Brexit, the far right in general tends to get called names but yeah use dead Jews as rhetoric to support a genocidal conspiracy theory about a rich international financier Jew who survived WW2 why don’t you.

Someone might have seen someone throwing something on to a balcony.
No smoke, no fire, no problem.
In summary, nothing happened in Rooskey last night.

When your reaction to a feeling that your concerns are not being heard is to set fire to stuff, maybe you are the real problem and not your concerns?

That comment was more a warning that some people are only too ready to try to make false claims and leaving your vehicle in such a place is leaving yourself open to such unethical behaviour. Nowhere do I nor would I advocate someone act like this but they do and they will.

And if they are found to have been dishonest, what sanctions?

But no, I do not believe in breaking the law or making fraudulent claims but if that’s what you took from that comment, that’s more a reflection on you.

My comment was more of an ‘in addition’ to yours rather than anything accusatory! But if that’s how you understand my comment, then i’m afraid that would be more of a reflection on you. Teeheehee…my Ma used to say that to me all of the time…did she tell you too?

    Broadsheet censorship working overtime today.

Incredible that 2 replies I made were not published, nothing offensive or crude, just hard truths and questions for apparent Broadsheet darlings.

Oh well, carry on, enjoy your silo.
