“Oh darling! Let’s go with KBC for our mortgage because I’ve been lured in by a €10 Just Eat voucher.”

Ummmmmm 2% cash back every month to spend on pointless shit??!!! yes please!! how many extra years does that add up at the end of the mortgage? who cares!! free money!!!

I really dislike KBC’s TV ad with all the cool people hula-hooping about the place and being generally trendy whilst waving the KBC app around.

I shake my fist at these young mobile banking hipsters (becuase I am old and not hip). I am a KBC customer too. Put my miserable approaching middle-age head in an ad why don’t ye.

Christ! I’m only after realizing that I might be in with a chance of a ride tonight. The pressure.

That’s more of a chance than some of us have, so I’m calling you a lucky dawg and I am very envious

Ah but you’ve the chance of something extraordinary, missred! Go on out to wherever young people roam and you might meet some ginger ride that’ll blow yer socks off!

I might download this Bumble thing and find me a fine young ginger. Though the Globe is always full of hot foreigners… anyone ever met a French or Brazilian redhead? That’d be my ideal hybrid

They’re both nations full of all sorts of hot people and my mission is to find one and tell him that he could be Seamus from Caherciveen, but thankfully isn’t

The Central Statistics people say home prices fell in the month of December 2018 for the second consecutive month. There’s been a decline of 0.4% in November & December 2018, which equates to roughly €1,000.

So, take the €10 voucher from KBC which may lead to you buying something which loses €1,000 every two months, or don’t take the voucher and use the €15 a day for something else. A city break every fortnight? Sure, why not.

Mind you, this voucher business almost distracted me from the news today that 21% more borrowers were overcharged by KBC who incorrectly moved them onto higher variable rate mortgages. The average compensation so far according to the Central Bank is around €20,000. And it’s been several years since the tracker scandal broke, so it’s a bit shady that KBC have suddenly revealed another 21% overcharged.

All in all, just tell KBC to shove their voucher.
