this is not unusual. big employers always lobby the transport minister on this issue and no doubt was one of the factors in choosing to locate in that area at the planning stage.
Never mind the buses. They should be pushing for a Luas line.
They also need to sort out the cycle path. It’s a joke with lumps of rubble strewn around the place.
Maybe if IKEA were interested in public services it would consider abandoning it’s non-profit status and pay some taxes, perhaps even their FARE SHARE?
Rather than burdening their employees and the greater taxpaying public unduly?
Lots of employers run their own buses for their staff – factories, cleaning companies etc. Their problem, their solution.
