Delighted to announce former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern as a key note speaker/ panellist for our Sunday morning discussion at this year’s Women in Media event.

Hmm.
Meanwhile…
Is there no woman that you could find to do this? This is a really bad decision on so many levels. pic.twitter.com/teM2Z643f3

Good times.

I don’t think Bertie being a man is the issue. Women in Media have had the odd male on the panel before.
Him being Bertie Ahern is the issue.
Unless WIM constantly remind those attending of the conclusions of the Mahon Tribunal, this disgraced former ‘Finance Minister with no bank account’ shouldn’t be there at all.
Speaking of Tribunals, Sarah Carey loves to attend this event. I remember she had her Newstalk radio show broadcasting from there before.
For those who don’t remember, she was the columnist who lied to the Moriarty Tribunal.

Sarah Carey….nothing I can say about her that wouldn’t get deleted!
So I will say…….
Good on Mick to tell the ladies who they should and shouldn’t have on their own panels.
It’s not “is there no woman” it’s “is there not ANYBODY EFFING ELSE OTHER THAN THIS GOWL”.
As an aside, I drove past the River Goul yesterday. I laugh every single time.
I laugh every time I pass through / change at Gabhal Luimnigh on the train
It’s the highlight on the M8.
+1
There’s a bang of Redacted about that photo.
two sides of the same coin
I thought it was himself for a min because I was expecting it to be.
Let out a little gasp of horror when I realised it was actually Bertie pretending to be DoB.
Jayus, ease up on the criticism lads.. the women are only looking for a few tips on the nags .. did ye not hear how lucky this fella is.. 7/1 romping home..!!!
Am I the only person who thinks De Bertrand looks like Mr Punch?
“On so many levels” makes my teeth grind
Isn’t this the person who’s excuse for not having a bank account was “I’m was getting divorced, I wanted to hide money so my ex couldn’t get a share of it in the divorce”?
Bastion of feminism right there.
Ah stop
Women in Media
Seriously
And this is who they put in front of their delegates
Is it any wonder
