Hi Spotify, can you please comment on this? Why are you serving British content to Irish users? Given the current political climate, I’d hope you’d be a bit more sensitive…

Ruairi Carroll, why are you using Spotify which rips off artists?
Because its cheap as fupp. Thats why everyone uses it.
what on earth do you suggest as an alternative? Spotify Radio introduces me to a lot of small artists who I can then give money to by attending their gigs
Because you speak their language, read their newspaper, watch their soaps, follow their soccer teams and wear their jerseys. Real Ireland begins in the west, when you cross the Shannon, west Brits, in denial, live east of it.
Good to know I’m not ‘Real Irish’.
Not sure I fancy being married to my cousin for want of a better option.
Go on away outta dat, with your digeridoos and dogs on strings. Dirty crusties.
So culchies like shane are the “real Irish”….hahahahahahahah…what a gobsh1te.
So culchies like shane are the “real Irish”….hahahahahahahah…what a poopyhead.
Because, like it or not, a lot of good music comes from Britain? Like would you be complaining if it was American Breakfast?
Because the Brit awards were on last night. Stop reaching for things to be outraged about.

Not as sensitive as some people eh?
I strongly disapprove of chips with a fry. And beans too. That fry is missing white pud.
Apart from that, I’m in.
I disapprove of chips full stop
Awwww. Now you’ve made me sad as the main place that I like to have my lunchtime tipple closed last week. Chez Max on Baggot St. They did lovely chips. Apparently their café will close soon too.
Please change the word “that” to “where”. My sadness broke my English.
nooooo,
what will happen to all the lovely boys
Don’t be too sad, the Max of Chez Max is a kn0b3nd.
Is the Palace Street restaurant affected too?
Nope. That’s staying open.
Oh really? I lined that kn0b3nd’s pockets for far too long, then.
you and me both baby
tbf, most bar and restaurant owners are nobends
Olivier from Dax seems awfully nice. He makes me feel funny in my tummy.
I’ll have to get a goo now
I’m raging about that, their outdoor area was the best. The last thing I got served was disgusting though, bits of fish inside a blended up fish sauce. An abomination.
The menu had been all over the place for a few weeks before they shut the place up.
Hated Chez Max. Thats because I hate french food probably. Over rich rubbish.
not biting
Shut it, bully. Or, as we say in French, tais-toi, bully.
Rôti de Rotide, tyrant de cette blog ;)
Oui! What she said!
Could be worse. Spotify keeps recommending German playlists to me, would love to get some English music
I’m sick of how targeted content lumps us in with Britain and UK. Just perpetuates the ignorance.
To be fair we have very similar cultures with very similar tastes, we eat the same food, listen to mostly the same music, watch the same tv programs, why wouldn’t we be lumped together.
Nope. I see a vast ocean of cultural difference between the Gaels and the Saxons.
*sings*
“Denim and leather,
Brought us all together,
It was you that set the spirit free”
…for those of a certain age, and metal cheese only :)
#BrexitBritPop – that’ll end well too.
Surely, “why are are serving up #poo music to Ireland?”
Any hackers out there who can adjust that algorithm to inflict non-step Úna Healy on the Brits? That should bring it all
backup. #othervoices
