Too Quiet.

This morning.

Ryders Row, Dublin.

Unsettling calm following last night’s makeshift cycle lane barrier shenanigans.

Free the lanes.

Yesterday: Free At Last

Meanwhile…

Fight!

As expected. The same way that Gardaí come down harder on Vigilantes than they do on Criminals. Let’s see if they are as fast to clamp vehicles parked illegally there.

always the way with councils. very prompt and active to shut things down and throw up obstacles for progression .. slow or non-acting on actually doing positive work.

Not everybody who works for Dublin City Council is an bumhat, not even a significant minority I would expect, but for some reason, everyone of them I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with sure did come off as one.

In fairness this kind of viture signalling and “campaigning” just pees off people generally. Vegans and cyclists they just can’t communicate or empathize with anyone who thinks that living on lettuce or not buying a large boring bike from Holland is not a political act, but a lifestyle choice for most.

Great way to introduce utter BS into the debate!

I’m not a vegan and only cycle for fun, not to commute but I have utter sympathy for those who do and respect for their choice to be healthier to both themselves and the environment. Nobody I know of was pee’d off by this and why should they be?

Do you get as animated when people park in cycling lanes?

I was complaining about how long the week was taking last Friday, in the belief that it was Thursday (manic week) so it was a great surprise to realise it was in fact Friday!

I would just like to state that today is my birthday and when I came back to my bike some scrote had tried to nick it by levering the frame against the lock, which made poopy of the derailer. But I shall rise above it as I suppose my birthday ale.
