‘sup?
This morning.
The Department of Children, Dublin
Minister for Children and Youth Affairs Katherine Zappone and Taoiseach Leo Varadkar launching the National Childcare Scheme with toddlers, Donnacha Barr (top left) and Sam Laffertty Klvlehan and a sock puppet.
It’s not a caption competition until you insist.

So much plastic!
And that does not count whats on the table…
Oh but there must be a caption competition.
I absolutely *insist*.
“And furthermore, Zozzle the space dragon thinks that maybe, when it comes to criticising the effectiveness of this government when it comes to funny voices, perhaps you should address your own history, regarding the pronunciation of even basic words, in a normal tone of voice”
varadkar: WTF AM I DOING HERE!
Spot the Shinner baby.
“gottle of gear” “gottle of gear”
National Childcare scheme should mean that the State will cover 90% of the cost of child care, like they do in most other EU countries. Irish parents are slaves to child care bills and its totally unacceptable when you put it together with the housing and rental levels crisis.
“Cutbacks take effect at Strategic Communications Unit. Taoiseach issued with new mouthpiece.”
#captioncompetition #justspoiledthenextphoenixmagcover.
Brexit negotiations still under way I see. Is that Arlene in white?
Baby Donnacha: “Please don’t namecheck me in this -it’ll ruin me for life”
Two ministers who will never know anything about bringing up their own family, or the reality of the pressure, pose for photo shoot to try convince the electorate that they even care.
I could see Leo adopting if there was a photo op in it for him but I cant see much motherly love coming from the other one.
I see. So, following your logic, no-one who hasn’t brought up children themselves can have any say into how the national childcare systems children of the country should operate? Or is it OK to just exclude them gays and lezzies?
Sometimes is worth following logic.
Laffertty Klvlehan?
What is that, Klingon?
And to teach the children about taxation, the Taoiseach is taking the sock puppet with him when he leaves.
Something quite Hitchcockian about that silhouette…ha
In the second photo the child is transforming into a being of pure light, Zappone and the puppet are thinking about gettin’ it on and the taoiseach is tripping balls.
‘Reunion as ‘Sock’ puppet meets another sock puppet…’
*winner*
Correction ”Sock muppet meets sock puppet”.
No charge.
Leo is our very own Sock Hudson!

Varadkar saying: ‘billy the blue banker says ‘stick your hands up and give me that sweet candy.’ You might as well used to getting shafted by the banks now kid.’

Ouch!!!!
Could varadkar look any more awkward or out of place?
Yes he could, and stop encouraging him please.
Sorry about that..its Monday!

“What do I think about your so-called childcare policies? Hang on there a second and you’ll find the answer in my diaper. 4…3…2”
