The Times Ireland reports today that those on an average income could afford to buy just 5% of the new homes built in Dublin in 2018. And the research from a group calling itself “Initiative Ireland” believes the average income if €57,200 whereas the CSO really thinks its around €39,500 which would mean even less than 5% could afford a new home.
