    -46 years ago today Nixon(Tapes) tells Mitchell…
‘I want you all to stonewall it, let them plead the Fifth Amendment, cover-up or anything else, if it’ll save it–save the plan.”
In other news The Muller Report dropped this afternoon.

Hysterical conspiracies just embolden Trump. He’ll get four more years thanks to the democrats ineptitude.

I agree entirely about your first clause pizzagate and Qanon and Sandyhook Truther guy, but think you might need to look closer to hinevfir who us enabling him.

Thanks, – Confirmation bias “Confirmation bias is the tendency to search for, interpret, favor, and recall information in a way that confirms one’s preexisting beliefs or hypotheses.[1] It is a type of cognitive bias and a systematic error of inductive reasoning. People display this bias when they gather or remember information selectively, or when they interpret it in a biased way. The effect is stronger for emotionally charged issues and for deeply entrenched beliefs. Confirmation bias is of particular current interest because of the increasing polarisation between left-wing and right-wing political viewpoints, and the gullible acceptance of the current rapid spread of fake news.[2] “

Good to see the Daily Express giving blue passport holders away. Brexit is going so well. I love hearing Brexiteers blaming the EU for not giving them what they demand.

So the Mueller report is finally in. No indictments for collusion with Russia – which was the investigation’s core remit. Time for some reflection for those who got sucked into the ‘Russiagate’ conspiracy theory, I would think You got propagandised. -a bit ironic that a lot of whom would be fond of using the term ‘conspiracy theorist’ to try to mock others ;)

Just for the record, Mueller has secured convictions for Trump’s campaign chairman, first national security adviser and personal lawyer, all of whom admitted to lying about Rusiian dealings. Trump’s family members and campaign staff met Russian operatives in Trump Tower to get dirt on Clinton and discuss easing sanctions. This is all a matter of record..

From another perspective there seem to be no mass arrests of traitors and paedophiles either. Obviously the supposedly rational and objective view of this will be that it’s a wash.

‘Mine’ is an actual investigation that actually happened. ‘Yours’ is a pair of imaginary goal.posts trundling further into the mists.

“Three people briefed on the private discussions of EU leaders at the Brussels summit agreed there was “little optimism” that the UK could avoid a no-deal, and that preparations for that outcome would now accelerate, especially in the member states most closely affected.”

Says the Irish Times today. Just going through the motions of calling the UK’s bluff, or is a no-deal the likely outcome? The markets think Theresa has triumphed to frustrate Brexit, but are Brexiteer Brits so thick they’ll just accept extension after extension lying down?

And what’s being missed/downplayed is that our Government (term used loosely) has no plans to secure the only land border between the UK and EU. Worth repeating – No Plans. With 12 days or so (first extension) to go.
I’d think that Varadkar and Coveney have a severe case of pushing cloth at the moment.
The ‘it’ll be alright on the night’ boys may well find that the rest of the cast in the show might not perform.

Funny to see the FT emerging as the most opinionated organ on Brexit, it’s supplanting the Express and Mail. Sadly, the FT is no more certain than the tabloids about the outcomes next week – May resigning, second referendum, redrawing the UK’s negotiating red lines, no-deal Brexit.

Seems the Times Ireland is to become the vehicle to publicise the issues around Facebook’s fake ads for cream (Miriam) and erectile dysfunction (Pat). There’s been no news in the past week to merit a front page splash, but the issues are all repeated today along with the promotion of one solicitor who has been getting “2-3 enquiries a week”.

In fairness to Miriam, if Facebook puts itself forward as an advertiser, the least it could do is vet its ads to ensure they’re not including fake endorsements or news.

Gibraltar v Ireland this evening. A nice easy one to kick off the new reign. The pubs in Ranelagh and Ballyfermot will be packed with a diverse assortment of fans. A nation once again.

Has Mick McCarthy gone to the High Court yet to injunct the result? Will his post-match interview take place in a fortnight when he will give a full and frank account of what happened?

  7. SOQ

Over a million people take to the streets in London to demand another Brexit vote.

Meanwhile, Margaret Georgiadou, the woman who setup the petition to revoke Article 50, now sitting at nearly 4.4 million, has received telephoned death threats. Classy.

    1. SOQ

The biggest single street mobilisation since Britannia voted to sail forth onto dry land, has no comments on Broadsheet, a Irish website?

Feel free to keep arguing if a north American leader has left enough of his own finger prints to be impeached and/or prosecuted.

It’s not like what is happening in GB is of any importance now is it?

Publishing pictures of snotted mourners at funerals in the depths of their grief is scumbaggery alright.

FG applaud Jeffrey Donaldson (DUP) when he suggests Ireland should join the Commonwealth. Coveney says there’s ‘probably not’ a majority in FG that agree but they were applauding out of ‘ warmth’. “Fine Gael is a generous party and we want him to feel welcome.”

There, folks, in plain sight and earshot, you will find a reason for part of my utter dislike for FG.

      1. GiggidyGoo

I wonder is FG paying for his bed and board in Wexford. Will he and the other FG join in in a rendition of Boolavogue. FG/DUP like love and marriage.

    1. SOQ

There was actually a group in Trinity who wanted to campaign for uniting Ireland by joining the commonwealth so, they went to meet – – – > the Orange Men at Drumcree.

Said Orange were later quoted as being of the opinion that the Trinity folk were “a bit flamboyant”. Then again, it wouldn’t have been hard to be classed as colourful in comparison to those dour lemon suckers.

  9. Martco

1,000,000 people on the streets in London today. a million. now that’s some protest.

reckon Corbyn missed a big opportunity today.

May will justify ignoring them because, like, democracy?

no deal exit + Boris Johnson waiting patiently

FG having their pissup in Wex & desperately avoiding the border question…shure its all grand, isn’t it tools?

our world is about to tilt
