I think I get how this works. Conspiracy when you don’t like the outcome vindication when you do, is that right?

“After reviewing all of the facts and circumstances of the case, including Mr. Smollett’s volunteer service in the community and agreement to forfeit his bond to the City of Chicago, we believe this outcome is a just disposition and appropriate resolution to this case”

“Simonton [spokesperson for state attorney examining the case] said the $10,000 bond money that Smollett is forfeiting will be given to the city. One of the penalties for filing a false police report, if there is a conviction, includes paying for the police costs of investigating a false crime report.”

$10,000? So, not exactly innocent then.

It was a vicious, prolonged attack on the wrist, actually, with all manner of unspeakable slurs and insults

Sure ten grand’s not much in the scheme of things, consider it an investment against what you’ll make hitting the late night interview circuit and selling the movie rights

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel on the Jussie Smollett case:

“This is without a doubt a whitewash of justice, and sends a clear message that if you’re in a position of influence and power, you’ll get treated one way—there is no accountability—it is wrong, full stop.”

The top cop in Chicago is very annoyed as he believes Smullet is guilty and the bond paid comes nowhere near covering the cost of the investigation.

He got off because he’s famous, wealthy and black. A complete shambles. This is more akin to Islamic justice where the punishment for a crime depends on the “identity” of the perpetrator

I don’t understand how they could do a 180 on this after exposing Smollet’s ridiculous stunt. It was pathetic and completely wasted the Police’s time. He should be prosecuted like anyone else would have been. What kind of message does this send? America is mental, they are all over the place.
