On April 21 at 2.45pm, ODEON cinema will be taking a trip back to 1985 for the Steven Spielberg family adventure classic.

‘The Goonies’ returns to the big screen once again to all ODEON locations for one day only in stunning 4k restoration so you can witness this 80s classic with four times the resolution for an even brighter and more detailed picture.

Best scene, anyone?

    God I hated that movie.

    Never understood the cult following.

Then again, I am struggling to think of Spielberg movie that I did like.

That’s a bit sad Ian, maybe you should take a look at them again.

        Nope, nope, nope and nope.

        Terrible movies one and all.

Except Back to the Future. Was that Spielberg though? Thought it was Zemeckis?

I was always jealous of the kids in ET and the Goonies , They seemed to have everything , living in comfort , all sorts of gadgets and food. It was only years later that I realised that they were poor families …

When the Fratellis are interrogating Chunk and he starts admitting all the bad things he’s ever done :-D

This movie really does not hold up on watching it as an adult even for nostalgia fans- the kids are all horrible and the story is so lame. Anyone with fond memories of seeing it as a kid I would strongly advise you not to ruin them by watching it!
