Restoring Rust In Politics

at

Save The Metal Man campaign group has launched its campaign to save the Metal Man in Rosses Point, Co Sligo, with the help of Westlife’s Shane Filan (pic five).

The group writes:

In any other county he would be a national monument but Rosses Point’s historic Metal Man is rusting away apparently unwanted, unpainted and certainly neglected by Sligo County Council.

They could organize a heavy metal live aid concert to save the metal man. They could invite Banksy to Sligo. They could make culture flourish.

    Rusting man, rusting man
    Could’ve been something, rusting man…

Maybe Pearl Jam could change a few lyrics like I cunningly did there and charity single it.

Has it reached the stage that a couple of these people can’t afford a few tins of
marine paint, wonder did Filans brother put in anything about it, in his local election
manifesto, as he is running for Rea Nua in Sligo Town, it seems the peeling paint
is about to expose his crown jewels
