i’ve lost any hope of possibly changing how the country is run within my lifetime. people will keep the status quo no matter how detrimental it is to them or anyone else.

It’s also dangerous because they all see that none of them get punished come election time, so there’s nothing to deter them from continuing their skullduggery. They’ve broken the rules, and the public has responded “we don’t care”

bisted is having a tough time of late

tending to get upset and emotional

In fairness he has been very upset since Ireland didn’t qualify for the eurovision finals.

I saw a comment elsewhere that if the puck goat ran in Kerry it would get elected. A reply tickled me. His name would be Billy Healy Rae

The comment from Village seems a bit mean-spirited – I’m sure that Cathal Haughey campaigned and knocked on doors the same as any other candidate.

I think we should all swap names with our nemesis’ for one week and post the opposite side of the discussions that we would normally do.

            It would be brilliant.

sorry there, cian – quick word if i may:

re: “I think we should all swap names with our nemesis’ for one week…”

the plural of nemesis is nemeses. strictly speaking, as it’s derived from the Greek ‘nemeses’, there’s no english plural form, but the established convention of forming noun plurals do apply – so, as with all nouns ending -is, you change it to -es.

happy to let it go on this one occasion

I’m picturing cian sitting in his mammies basement wearing his superhero cape.

      Defintely.

It’s far more likely they are showing a completely invented conspiracy symbol than the far simpler explantion that they are signalling that three of them got elected.

You should run with this one

      1. Hank

Did I not read something about all the Healy-Rae’s being born with conjoined index fingers and thumbs??

      2. George

The ok symbol as white supremacist gesture started as a joke but then white supremacists actually starting using it as a form of “trolling” thereby turning it into a symbol used by white supremacists. It is funny the way meanings evolve.

There needs to be in IQ test before anyone is allowed vote….or anyone is allowed to run for office

  4. won't you join too

    Ógra Healy-Rae.
They’re hungry for work and are looking for your support.

You got us there: the Healy Rae that doesn’t believe in climate change, and the Healy Rae who thinks that people should be allowed drive their tractors while pissed, both probably know how to operate a swing.

Hahaha, Rob_G, you always accuse the Shinner bots of deflecting and whataboutery to the point whereby you’ve suffered the loss of your own memory when it comes to your blu-tinted glasses (of wine) – were you at the Spice Girls concert, *swinging* away to Two Becomes One with Micheál Martin, Varadkar and Eoghan Murphy in a co-living disabled parking-space sized room for 1300 a month from Airbnb – or the FG equivalent thereof?

Of course you weren’t because the Irish tax-payer always pays; which includes snow in Belgium – and chocolate on the bed pillows of 5* hotels.

I think we can now safely say
    that political dynasties may
    be compared to a vulture
    that promotes cute-hoor culture
most of all if they’re called Healy-Rae.

  6. Jim

Who was the candidate whose poster literally said [some old politician]’s Daughter on it?
