Oh, Bodger, why drag up this again? You didn’t come out of it well the last time. If you had your way our current Head of State would be Gemma O’Doherty.

          1. Joe Small

The point is that you have questionable judgment which you have demonstrated on more than one occasion.

        2. Lobster

Having tons of tweets is about pizzagate is evidence that pizzagate is a fact based conspiracy because…?

    1. Nigel

I’ve never heard of this guy but it would be… interesting to see the chain of evidence that suggests this proves pizzagate is real? (Real as in an actual child-slave ring run out of the basement of a pizza parlour and accepting orders from Hilary Clinton’s campaign staff, as opposed to a real consipracy cult thing.)

      1. Bodger

Nigel, you are deliberately mischaracterising, trivialising and ridiculing a legitimate open source investigation – which is about child rape and trafficking, not pizza – in the exact same terms as this guy has done for two years.

        1. Told Ya

Nigel would never mischaracterise, trivialise or ridicule legitimate enquiry. Would he?

It’s not in his character to deflect the truth with nonsense. Is it?

He woudn’t lie just because the lie is more palatable to him than the truth. Not our Nigel?

And instead of doubling down on falsehood Nigel will always admit when he’s wrong.

It’s what makes him so endearing?

          1. Nigel

Why, thank you. It’s nice to know we can be collegial and respectful of each other like this even when we disagree.

        2. Nigel

Well, it is trivial and ridiculous if it’s associated with pizzagate. Not to mention dangerous, since it was cynically initiated to attack and smear Trump’s enemies and protect Trump. Any effort to legitimise pizzagate as an open source investigation into child rape and trafficking would have to acknowledge that there was never any evidence to support pizzagate and that it was a political smear campaign.

          1. Told Ya

So any investigation into Child Rape and Sex trafficking is “trivial and ridiculous”?

(Good to know where your priorities are.)

Call off the FBI! Nigel tells us (again) there’s nothing to see here.

          2. Nigel

The FBI? I thought this was a bunch of untrained amateurs looking for coded patterns on pizza menus to smear a political opponent of Trump’s?

          3. Told Ya

You keep dumping your own misshapen fantasies in order to distract from the realities of organised child abuse for profit.

Is this really the side of the argument you want to be on?

          4. Told Ya

            “Child Labour for Profit”

Interesting way to describe the sexual exploitation of children.

          5. Nigel

Yeah my mistake on the phrasing there. On the other hand pizzagate is still a cynical political smear job.

          6. Told Ya

Nigel still pushing the false narrative that only shills and useful idiots can abide.

Pizzagate is not about one particular pizza shop: it’s about a network of elites who pursue nefariousness acts – crimes against children.

        3. Ciuncainteach

Perhaps you should provide us with some details of the fruits of this ‘legitimate open source investigation’?

Your responses to most comments instead make spurious claims that those of us who perceive ‘pizzagate’ as a conspiracy theory don’t believe that allegations of child trafficking and abuse merit investigation.

        4. Ciuncainteach

Thanks Bodger – appreciate the response.

That article does pose a lot of questions, but it is heavy on editorialising and selective on some of the sourcing. I am not discounting the possibility that the charges in it are true, but I would want a few things included if I was reviewing this copy. Some examples include:

‘Hillary and Bill Clinton took an extraordinary interest in Silsby’s case from the moment she was arrested’

Noting that the intervention was extraordinary should be substantiated by examples of comparable interventions, or at least an informed comment from someone with expertise in these matters.

‘Prosecutors ultimately sought a six-month sentence in Silsby’s case, reducing charges for conspiracy and child abduction to mere “arranging irregular travel.” A shockingly light penalty given the circumstances of her arrest, which would likely not have been possible but for the intervention of the Clintons in Silsby’s case.’

The term ‘likely’ is doing a lot of heaving lifting here. It may be true, but no comparison is provided and no comment from knowledgeable sources given.

‘the State Department’s American Citizens Services is only authorized to offer lists of local, English speaking attorneys to Americans arrested or detained abroad. To go beyond that authorization is a severe violation of protocol and is illegal’

The link here goes to a US State Department website containing general information, but it doesn’t link to any legislation that would show that the action was actually unlawful.

‘Puello was ultimately sentenced to three years in federal prison for “alien smuggling.” Another surprisingly light sentence given the original charges he was sought for’

Again, editorialising without reference to evidence or comment from informed sources. The argument that the sentence was ‘surprisingly light’ should be substantiated, or else the term is meaningless.

‘Chelsea Clinton, Vice President of the Clinton Foundation and daughter of Hillary and Bill Clinton, sits on InterActiveCorp’s Board of Directors.’

The contention that The Daily Beast is Clinton-controlled media may be correct, but Chelsea Clinton’s role on the board doesn’t substantiate this argument by itself. As you know, the board of a company exercises (generally speaking) a governance function. Some may have an executive role also, but we have no information from the piece to suggest this is the case – never mind evidence to suggest that they directed the Daily Beast’s response.

There is some interesting questions arising from this, but the specific piece you linked to doesn’t come close to answering them. The answers are the end-point of the journalists’ work – not the questions.

What a delightfully well reasoned and constructed post that will be completely ignored by the usuals

  1. MaryLou's ArmaLite

Is this news because he has Pizza in his handle and PizzaGate was a thing, or is there another link?

      1. Joe Small

I’m fascinated to know who these “reseachers” are and what they’ve found over the past two years. #randcorporation #lizardpeople

        1. Bodger

Joe, your tropes are old, I’m sorry. You sound like the paedo guy above. Full of arrogance and bullshit.

          1. Bodger

And your loyalty extends to dragging up Gemma O’Doherty in an attempt to humiliate me to make a weak point about child rape. We don’t need that kind of loyalty, Joe.

  2. Alastair

Pizzagate was, and remains, a ridiculous steaming pile of doo doo, and anyone who bought into it is an unfortunate dupe. That stands even if a convicted paedophile wrote nasty comments about said dupes. Just sayin’.

        1. Told Ya

Pizzagate is an American colloquial catchall expression for organised child rape and sex trafficking for profit.

          See how that works?

          1. Nigel

No, it’s the American colloquial catchall expression for a political smear campaign that uses the real horrors of child rape and trafficking to cynically smear the political enemies of Donald Trump. Conflating the two is futher cyncal exploitation of a real issue, like pretending that Gamergate was really about ethics in gaming journalism.

          2. Bodger

‘There is no good faith interpretation of gamergate, because no part of it was ever in good faith. it wasn’t a legitimate complaint coopted by bad guys; it was bad guys trying to give themselves a paper thin cover.’

            Peter Bright aka Dr Pizza

          3. Told Ya

And yet the term pizzagate comes from an official FBI investigation – which discovered Pizza was used as a codeword between pedos.

And remember Hillary shutting down an investigation into pedophilia at the state department?

            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLnd-OYClTM

Or is that truth too inconvenient for you?

          4. Nigel

No, the term pizzagate came from an effort to smear Hilary Clinton and her campaign staff by claiming they were using pizza menus to order children from the basement of a specific pizza restaurant. The fact that a real child sex ring had used pizza code-words was completely unrelated to anything to do with Clinton, her staff or this pizza restaurant. One was a real child sex ring that used pizza code-words, the other was pizzagate, and completely fake.

          5. Bodger

I feel genuinely embarrassed reading your comments. There is nothing you have said above that is true.

          6. Nigel

Are you saying that that characterisation of gamergate is wrong, or that it now suddenly must be wrong because that guy said it? Is this an indication of the standard of research in your independent open source investigation? Along with ‘you sound like the paedo guy?’ Because pwning people like they do on 8chan is not actual research or investigation, you know.
I’d be embarrased if I was weirdly invested in believing pizzagate started out as anything other than a political smear job, too.

          7. Bodger

Nigel, you are usually wrong with almost everything you write here which is fine but you also come across as creepy in the exact same way as the Dr Pizza chap. I’m sorry. But compare your comments to his tweets. It’s uncanny. The same smug contempt and bluster.

          8. realPolithicks

Bodger you’ve gone off the rails with this bs, now your going after nigel who is one of the most coherent commenters on here. Whatever about this nonsensical conspiracy that you constantly bang on about, it’s extraordinarily unprofessional the way you peddle this garbage on here. What is your fupping point, is it just clickbait?

          9. Bodger

I don’t peddle anything. We don’t do clickbait (as you know). Nigel is one of the least informed commenters on this site relying solely as he does on official sources and received wisdom not to mention his unearned smugness. This is about child trafficking and child rape and I would argue that Nigel, Like Dr Pizza and yourself, do real harm to the victims by claiming with no research that it’s all a conspiracy.

          10. Nigel

‘but you also come across as creepy in the exact same way as the Dr Pizza chap.’

The insinuation in this comment way over the line. It’s ugly, cheap, vile and irresponsible.

          11. Nigel

Bodger you care so much about child rape and trafficking that you leaped to insinuate that I am a predator because I refuse to forget that pizzagate started as a political smear job. You and your pizzagate pals are at best a dangerous bunch of dupes.

          12. Bodger

Nigel, I don’t know who you are. You always toe the official line irrespective of logic and I have often detected a nihilistic quality to your comments. You have been consistently extremely unpleasant to me but I assumed that a) you were very young or b) you were getting paid so it wasn’t personal.

Dr Pizza was obviously trying to obscure attention from his own diseased mind and behaviour by screaming the loudest knowing full well the truth, you are simply operating out of wilful ignorance and a programmed aversion to ‘conspiracies’.

          13. realPolithicks

Bodger you haven’t published a single piece of proof to substantiate your allegations which as far a I am concerned makes it a “conspiracy theory” and as for your needless attacks on people who disagree with you, well I’ll just refer you back to my comment on your lack of professionalism.

          14. Bodger

realpolithicks, I am a kind person and have shown you enormous patience over the years as you well know.

          15. ummmmmmm

The “you are simply operating out of wilful ignorance and a programmed aversion to ‘conspiracies’ ” comment made by Bodger deserves analysis.

As another commenter has pointed out with one of Bodger’s supplied articles; the evidence is very very circumspect and has no answers or conclusions just very weighty clauses involving a lot of editorialising and not much good journalism or real investigation – merely making insinuations and assumptions of motive and intent from looking at publicly available information.

He also goes full play the man not the ball on people who call this poorly sourced set of accusations about a larger conspiracy. Bodger is the enlightened man, any critic a fool who is labouring under programming that Bodger is smart and clever enough to see through. This is pretty much the entire point of the ego massaging an effective conspiracy theory gives its adherents.

Also this one – “I would argue that Nigel, Like Dr Pizza and yourself, do real harm to the victims by claiming with no research that it’s all a conspiracy” – but Bodger refuses to see himself as being just as arrogant and snide and potentially harmful to victims of sexual abuse that has nothing whatsoever to do with some grand convenient conspiracy – his research materials don’t actually include anything concrete – just a series of speculative analysis of events, not actual investigations.

The use of the citing a “bad person’s”, “good opinion” on Gamergate as some kind of indicator of greater proof or behaviour of other people who can read twitter and comments sections and come the conclusion that Gamergate is an disgusting non-excuse to justify harassing women online is literally a text book example of multiple bad faith and manipulative argumentation tactics.

Pretty much shame on you for having zero self awareness of your own limitations while claiming some pretty darn lofty moral high ground here.

          16. realPolithicks

“realpolithicks, I am a kind person and have shown you enormous patience over the years as you well know.”

Are you a kind person, I know nothing about you other than you run a website which I enjoy but you occasionaly publish this kind of nonsense and when called out for it attack the commenters in a very personal way. You also censor comments including my last one which you didn’t publish at all, also I’m curious as to what “enormous patience” you have shown me..feel free to cite examples.

          17. Bodger

realPolithicks, I have shown enormous patience with you because I spend hours on this site and you are often very short and downright nasty in your comments and a lot of them serve no purpose other to denigrate other commenters. I can show you many examples.

I don’t run this website. I work alongside Niall and Olga and we three have radically different views on things but want it to be a place where all voices can be heard. We also do it for literally nothing so I can say this without professional harm: would you not be more comfortable at somewhere like The Irish Times or The Journal?

          18. realPolithicks

As you have demonstrated on numerous occasions bodger you decide what comments are or are not published on this site, if you don’t like what I have to say them don’t publish them.

          19. Conall

I wonder how many of the Pizzagate debunkers actually read the Podesta emails which started off the theory. The pizza references jarred and were peculiar, they seemed to be code for something that the writers didn’t want openly referenced.

Example: “Hi John, The realtor found a handkerchief (I think it has a map that seems pizza-related. Is it yours? They can send it if you want.)”

Given that ‘pizza’ is already established code term within the paedophile community, it’s not that surprising that the somewhat bizarre wording of the emails might give rise to suspicions of paedophilia.

Nigel, have you read the Podesta emails and, if so, do you not think the constant references to pizza are a bit odd?

          20. Owen C

“but you also come across as creepy in the exact same way as the Dr Pizza chap”

            @ Bodger

This is a reasonably outrageous insinuation to make about someone on here and quite frankly disgusting. You of course are only willing to suggest it at an anonymous poster on here as if it had been directed to a publicly named person it would also surely count as slander. Bonkers stuff altogether.

          21. Owen C

Woh. Did my post, noting the potential legal implications of Bodger’s insinuation in other circumstances, just get deleted? The editorial decision making on here about which comments to allow and which to delete is becoming increasingly bizarre and self serving.

          22. Owen C

Ok, so how does this work? Any reference to one potential aspect of this conversation will see your post deleted (twice)? Interesting. Suppose its easier than just admitting that the original insinuation was a terrible error of judgement and then moving on from it. But errors of judgement don’t get many mea culpas on here it would seem. Ahem, Gemma etc.

  3. Dr.Fart MD

it’s so hard to follow any Linehan related stuff, because you go on to twitter and try and find the source of whatever debate he’s in, and there’s thousands of tweets and its impossible to know whats goin on

  4. ummmmmmm

You know, it occurs to me that it is entirely possible that there is a network of people trafficking minors for the purposes of rape and sexual exploitation AND for “Pizzagate” to be utter conspiracy theory horse poo.

Children and teens are raped and abused and trafficked all over the world every year – and the fact that one accused rapist also had a side line in being an internet troll against people who think Pizzagate is a real thing is not evidence of that conspiracy being in any way true.

Nor does Glinner’s ongoing rage-stroke make a lick of sense – harrassing trans people out of bathrooms only serves to make trans people feel less safe than they do already; it does not make women and children safer in these spaces.
It’s just magical thinking that it somehow makes Groups B & C safer to assume that all members of Group A are all sex offenders. His own logic includes the fact that the vast majority of the sex offenders aren’t even really members of Group A – so why target them and legislation designed to protect them so exclusively with such angry cherry picking and catastrophic thinking?

There are real, tangible ways that trafficking and abuse happens around people and women’s and rape and domestic violence organisations fighting for money, legislation, education, rights, and recognition. Focussing on some half baked MAGA voter fantasy that ties up all one kind of evil into a neat little package containing all the people you don’t like is just the height of privileged self-indulgence that does nothing to actually help victims.

Former child protection workers are currently working to give legislation in Ireland real teeth and proper experience-led scope in addressing systemic problems in cycles of deprivation and abuse.

  5. Vanessa the Holy Face of Frilly Keane

    Oh shur’up
    The lot’ve ye

A child predator has been caught
And will be subject to the full rigours of the law
Which may in turn secure further arrests within this man’s particular network
    And hopefully
    Chemical Castrations

    Instead ye’re nitpicking
    And I told ye so’ing

    And quite frankly Bodger
That Header doesn’t really demonstrate that a strong presence and aggravater in Social Media, – with 17,000 plus followers btw
has being caught and held without bail
For the worst crime(s) of all

But it does absolutely suggest a bitta comeuppance

    AFAIC
Ye’re all circling each other looking to cock yer legs

    Rather that commending the FBI
Who have made the world just that little bit safer for children

    I don’t know why I’m surprised tbh
Or why I effin’ bothered at all

    1. MaryLou's ArmaLite

I don’t think we should stop at castration, anyone found guilty of sexual activity involving prepubescent kids should be put down – no exceptions.

  6. class wario

Bodger trying to accuse people who disagree with him on this thread of being secret paedophiles is…certainly something

    1. ummmmmmm

That is a classic trope of the conspiracy theory mindset though; from flat earth to Kennedy assassinations to the Illuminati – you have to discredit the opposition by painting them as somehow being either deliberately or unwittingly under the thrall of the power structure that the conspiracy sees.

    2. Vanessa the Holy Face of Frilly Keane

      Here Wario

I’m well familiar with the general population around here replying with what they want to match and support their own spite and agendas

      Interpreting to suit
And I myself am well accustomed to it

But that’s completely out of order
      In fact it’s vile

      1. class wario

Apologies if I’m misinterpreting but you seem to be suggesting that I am the one accusing people of that as opposed to bodger (and that toldya fella).

There’s plenty about Laura Silsby out there and her Clinton connections.
The first story in the link below should answer many questions asked earlier up above^^^
After that story, scroll down a bit. Slowly. Then you get to no.10 and ….I’ll wait here, all night if I need to.

    Hey ‘talia
I actually followed one of those rabbit holes
    Intending to focus on Silsby
Seeing as I’d have an eye for financial misconduct – particularly in NFPs and at Governance level
    And oddly enough
In the end – well when I just couldn’t take anymore
I found I’d more questions about Mr Chelsea Clinton

BTW what d’ ya make of the Gib match?

    Heya Frillser,

You should hear what goes on in our own CB in the forex markets, if you don’t know already.
Policy making – excellent. Execution – woeful!
I went down the rabbit hole on Saturday, had a couple of hours to spare in Istanbul airport.
