Here’s the trailer for Divorcing God – my new doc about Ireland’s changing relationship with the Church. I went around the country to see the shape of faith today and made it a personal trip to consider my own beliefs. Watch it on @RTEOne this Wednesday 9.35pm pic.twitter.com/YJFaXPjiaF

Oliver Callan: Don’t throw baby Jesus out with bath water (The Irish Times, June 8, 2019)

this is on Wednesday night, not tonight
They didn’t say the show was on tonight, did they? Classic misdirection by Broadsheet.
the heading is, ‘staying in tonight’
It is indeed.
Get back in your box, you
You know me. I love being outta my box.
It’s 2019. We live in a time where the entirety of human knowledge and understanding is publicly available. If you still believe in this nonsense, you’re suffering from either a mental incapacity or a cognitive deficiency.
ah Jaysus
Shame ya couldn’t have said all that back in the day JC!
Might have saved us a few wars….
; )
Don’t throw out baby Jesus..? He didn’t exist in the first place so why not?
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/apr/14/what-is-the-historical-evidence-that-jesus-christ-lived-and-died
It is highly likely that a man called Jesus did exist. Whether he was a real celestial being or an early day hyped up David Icke and whether his “father” God does is another matter entirely……
Tom Cruise could still be in line for the second coming if he plays his cards right
And anyone who says he did is a HERETIC
Calm down, edgelord – the poster was making the point that the historical figure of Jesus did exist, which is well-documented. Josephus, who was not at all sympathetic to Christianity, mentioned Jesus several times.
Edgelord? Lol. I don’t think you know how and when the term “edgelord” should be used, mate. It’s like when you see a diehard Brexiteer calling a Remainer “gammon”.
Unlucky!
I like Oliver Callan. He is on the money every Friday with his look back of the week on Callan’s Kicks. I can’t help but feel that this is a road to Damascus journey and nothing else.
What I would like to see though is a detailed documentary by RTE looking back 10 years on at the horror that was brought to the Irish people in the Murphy Ryan and Cloyne Reports.
A horror that still gives nightmares today and no compensation to the suffers of clerical abuse.
The disgusting reality is to play down the clock. Same with Tuam baby crisis.
This septic isle is morally bankrupt. RTE ain’t going to address it.
That Durant stop us from doing something though. I am available to help.
