Luas. Quicker and cheaper to build. Get it running asap. Real fast ones too, like in other countries!!!!

Is this a general problem? Any time I’ve got a taxi from the airport I was waiting less than 5 minutes.

Ordered a myTaxi from the airport last year and the driver wasn’t allowed in to the passenger pick-up. Had to meet him way offsite. What the hell is that about?

The airport issues taxis a permit to be allowed to collect in the airport. It costs ~€450. They don’t want competition.

      Yep.
Get the free shuttle bus to Quick Park in Santry and have the taxi pick you up from there : )

Don’t need to do any of the above workarounds as there is now a deal for MyTaxi to pick up in Zone 18.

To be fair it would be completely impractical for everyone to be ordering their own taxi and trying to find the right one. However the restrictions should be lifted.

I know right? how did these tourists not know to walk across the dual carriage way, 15 mins walk in the rain, bags in tow to pick up a taxi from the McDonalds car park. Snowflakes

        Haha, exactly!
A smooth transport service involves moving passengers to and from the airport in a speedy manner and an affordable rate.

We’ll never ever grasp that basic concept it seems. I’m surprised Carroll’s Irish Gifts haven’t opened up a pop-up shop at that taxi queue above.

I know, baz and the ilk are the reason nothing changes there, “shur ill pick you up at departures” “shur walk down the road to mcdonalds”

          Its an awful airport.

given the situation as it is I offered a solution, but you would rather stand and whine.

            I’m home already.

Cry me a river. Take the aircoach into town and escape the usual way like the rest of us plebs, oh majestic Duke of the Skyways
