Look out for livestreams of Gemtrails and Tan Turdino outside the Aras complaining about being replaced.

can we give it a rest

      just for today at least
Let everyone there enjoy the day with Miggledy and the lads

Look at the effort they’ve all made
from probably shabby living conditions and crummy facilities for getting dolled up
      fair play to them all

We do need an adult conversation about immigration in this country, and we also need regular data, not every five years at census time.

As for replacement, the Central Statistics Office said about 2018, “The total period fertility rate, TPFR is derived from the age specific fertility rates in the current year. It represents the projected number of children a woman would have if she experienced current age specific fertility rates while progressing from age 15-49 years. A value of 2.1 is generally considered to be the level at which the population would replace itself in the long run, ignoring migration. In 2018 the TPFR for Ireland was 1.8 which is below replacement level.”

So, we need immigration to sustain our population, We still need the conversation though.

eoin says “we need immigration to sustain our population”. Yes, but we are not sustaining our population without immigration for reasons to do with the high cost of paying house mortgages and the fall in fertility. We need to have an adult conversation about immigration, about family fertility, about house prices and mortgage payments, and maybe about sexual practices in contemporary society. We need lots of adult conversation in Irish society, but there are factors inhibiting that.

I’m on about the need for adult conversations. Maybe you are not an adult conversationalist. Do you read The Beano orThe Sun?

Working for RTÉ is a form of direct provision in itself,- especially those who wish a player which actually works.

Looks like fun. But the fact that direct provision is so long-term that this event is even a thing is a failure in itself.

    Ryan Tubs was probably MC.

Direct provision goes on forever because that’s how long it takes the lawyers to suck the taxpayer dry with endless appeals.
