Might be easier to stop the tipping culture and improve minimum wage. Then we’re all clear.
In fairness, do you tip shelf packers in supermarkets? The person who served you in a clothes shop? The cinema cleaners? They all get minimum wage too.

Bravo for making the same tired point that everyone else has too.

      Anything original to add?

Is this not the place to make that point?
I could have have just said the protestors are “making the same tired point that everyone else has too”.
I think it would be more fair to ensure people were paid better and not let employers off the hook and allow them to say “yeah, but the tips are good”.

Fair play, at least they call themselves the Communist Party and not “Solidarity” or “People before Profit” or some other misleading euphemism.

odd that you’d cite Solidarity and PBP as examples before ‘Soldiers of Destiny’ and ‘Tribe of the Irish’

Anyone who goes to eat at the Ivy while this is ongoing needs his or her bottom kicked.

Get a job. Rather than protest, get a job. Rather than complain, get a job. Rather than do nothing, get a job, employ someone, give them money.

Having a job doesn’t mean you’re incapable of doing anything else. It’s quite possible to protest on a day off.

Get a job, get ripped off by your employer. Get another, get ripped off by another employer. Get a job, save, start a business, and eventually employ others. Rip them off. Cause who’ll say a word about it in this utopia you’ve painted.
