Um.

James Pelow writes:

Spotted in the  newly-opened Gorey [County Wexford] McDonald’s.

Do the ads not all say it’s Bord Bia Quality Assured Irish beef or am I going mad?

Na, they don’t accept Unionst cows into the programme… so, it’s only cows that identify as being either Irish or Northern Irish ;)

We’re a major beef producer so importing beef for burgers is odd. A great way to make beef even worse for the environment, I suppose.

I think I remember Ian Paisley arguing during the Foot & Mouth outbreak that cows in Northern Ireland were Irish, rather than British.
