I am a little surprised none of the other passengers intervened. I recall a few years ago some aggro started on a Bus Eireann bus. A few of the commuters were of farming stock, and intervened, and it was resolved quickly and bloodlessly (although one guy may be singing in a higher register now). I guess is you know how to deal with a load of bullocks, it is easy to deal with the other kind….
Most people don’t have a clue who this guy is. Apart from the hassle of dealing with him right there – which may go fine, most people are probably wondering who he’s related to.

But how could anyone call the guards when they are instead filming with their cameras for internet lol’s ? Besides the guards don’t like to get involved in things like this. Its too much confrontation for them. Berating innocent civilians for taking matters into there own hands is more the Garda style. Shooting dead an unarmed suspect in a parked car during an ongoing kidnapping situation is more up their street. Faking a half million breath tests, losing a bag filled with machine gun and live ammo in the middle of the street. Those guards? I didn’t see any police in the video. Are they out of frame? Did they show up later?
This hurts and shames me as an Irishman accepted and welcomed in many other countries. Fair play to the driver. I do hope that Dublin Bus backed him and supported him. This kind of behaviour is absolutely not acceptable.
As I grew up I used think that Ireland was not racist, but sadly I have since realised that it was just the lack of immigrants of the time did not give our worst the chance to expose our dark side.
