Epstein’s “suicide” was entirely predictable. I’m surprised he lasted as long as he did.

        1. Catherine costelloe

Surely the game was up (finally) for Epstein when he was arrested by FBI and NYPD after flying in on his private jet from Paris to New Jersey in July. That same Saturday evening 18 cops smashed down the front door of his 60 million mansion and found thousands of photographs of his young women and girls victims , in nude /sexual suggestive poses in his safe.
That was the end of Jeffrey Epstein. That’s my take on it. Might be a few more looking for a rope?

          1. Johnny Green

He had been removed from ‘watch’ but was the most high profile federal detainee, the AG Barr’s father had in an extremely unorthodox move hired Epstein to teach at Dalton,a private school in NY-he had no qualifications.Daily Beast or Palm Beach Post have done some great reporting on this story.

Mitchell….“In my contacts with Mr. Epstein I never observed or suspected any inappropriate conduct with underage girls. I only learned of his actions when they were reported in the media related to his prosecution in Florida. We have had no further contact.”…

            I believe her.

As a Neighbour of mine famously says

Can’t your erudition and insight (occasionally) at least extend to reading your own articles?

“He was removed from suicide watch on July 29 and returned to the special housing unit, a segregated area of the prison with extra security, this person said”

      1. Lilly

NY Post front page running a pic of his body being wheeled into hospital, with a glimpse of his face. That must be a first. Normally when a body is being moved, it’s fully covered. What are they trying to prove…

        1. Lilly

Nah, it looks staged. Normal procedure when removing a body is to cover it up. It’s as if they’re saying ‘look it’s him, he’s dead’ before spiriting him away to his new life. It’s anybody’s guess what’s going on.

His hedge fund business was likely a cover given that he had only one client. Some saying he was an intelligence agent for Mossad, blackmailing the high-profile paedos he supplied with girls.

          1. B9Com From No

            Lol steady on Lilly
He had more than one client
It’s just that Wexner was the only known one

          2. Lilly

Ah yeah, it’s easy to get carried away on flights of fancy with all the speculation floating around. Most financiers are only too happy to broadcast their portfolios but I suppose when the stakes are high, client confidentiality is at a premium.

Any papers cover Barrow Street? Its turning into quite the kitchen sink drama.

Hard to gauge numbers but Gemtrails refused to appear stating those sorts would be prone to violence- as it turned out they done the YMCA and had a bit of a dance around the street- it looked awfully threatening I must say- I mean how can so many people be such in time good dancers at once?

Some other fascists did turn up it appears including one little angel giving the Nazi salute but you know- freedom of speech and I can say what I want and all that spoilt brat guff. A number of abusive Twitter accounts were deleted yesterday and the petition to remove Hazel Chu has been well- removed- so they got a little more severed interpretation than expected.

More sinister was the twitter abuse Hazel was receiving over the past week and while some of it is unpleasant reading, it is worth checking to see if you know any of these people. She received heavy breathing calls- now that could just be someone suffering from the effects of Dublin pollution but the gaurds are investigating anyways.

Twitter can be a nasty place at times but can also be a very efficient communication tool. Already there is conformation of an ex British army guy, Generation Identity, connections to loyalist paramilitaries and English anti Fascist groups are scanning the videos for identifiables so there is more to come- all wrapping themselves in OUR national flag- are you proud of this Gemma?

€35 a day to keep a person in direct provision? That’s what the Dept of Justice says.

The Dept of Justice is using hotels and B&Bs because the direct provision system is 97% full.

In July, 1068 people were accommodated in hotels at a cost of €3.54m says the Sunday Times, that’s €107 per person per day, excluding non-hotel costs, or 3x what the Dept of Justice claims.

Also, in June 2019, there were 383 asylum applications, 68% up on June 2018.

And there are people in Direct Provision FOUR YEARS after their asylum application was approved because they can’t find conventional housing, despite having access to HAP etc.

Hotel costs were an average of €1.28m a month in January – June 2019, in July, they shot up to €3.54m.

Crisis? Not if you’re filling your boots because the govt has cocked up the direct provision centre.

Also, we need to have a grown-up conversation about immigration. Put it on the Citizens Assembly agenda at least.

Charlie Flanagan does a u-turn on appointments at the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission. He said he was going to reappoint incumbents when their terms expired in October. There was an outcry from some quarters that there wasn’t a competitive process, including from some of the incumbents. Now, Flanagan says there will be a competitive appointments process.

Charlie tried to pull a fast one to keep some cronies in position and was correctly called out on it.

Video of the prelude to the salute in Barrow Street shows the boy saluter with the unicorn side. Odd that then he proceeds to cross and deliver the salute, and then exits. Good that such quality photos are available. He will be identified, and outed.

      1. GiggidyGoo

Outed in respect of whether he was a supporter of GODs lot or has some other motive for being there on the scene, moving from the unicorn side, over to the google protest side, doing a quick appearance to make the salute, and disappears. So good that the photos are so clear, that he can be identified and outed as to his motives.
He mightn’t have been supporting one side or the other. I’m sure he will be asked.

        1. Janet, I ate my avatar

Giddy bit of a stretch to think anyone supporting an inclusive Ireland is going to show their face in that context

          1. GiggidyGoo

Yes. Which leads me to think that he had nothing at all to do with either side. He isn’t in photos of the google protestors at the start. Looks like he arrived during the stand off, did a bit of reconnaissance, moving from one group to another, and then disappeared again.

          2. some old unicorn

He wasn’t the only one- there is clear video shots of the guy standing beside him and also a woman doing likewise.

        2. GiggidyGoo

soq. Yes there is a picture of a woman holding her arm up. It doesn’t look like a salute though. The hand isn’t straightened.
The one of the other man, could be interpreted as a salute, but it was his left arm that was up. (am I correct?).
The true Nazi salute was the one of the younger, so far unidentified, fellow who I think wasn’t with either section. I’m sure it will come out eventually who he is.

          1. GiggidyGoo

Do you think that someone won’t ask him ? – his photo is in the public domain now and i’m sure that people all around here and the world will have viewed it. Someone will ask.

      1. Janet, I ate my avatar

seems a bit odd you could convince someone left to ruin their own good name and reputation by posing publicly as a Nazi saluter even if it is to undermine his opposition, pretty sure the opposition can do that by themselves without going to the lengths of ruining your own prospects both personal and professional

        1. some old unicorn

It is already proven that he was with the mob Janet- there is video evidence of him conversing with the others and of one congratulating him on the salute.

      1. some old unicorn

After he made one of his salutes, one of Gemtrails goons pushed him bad into the mob- the goon is definitely of Gemtrails because he was the one who assaulted the Google staff member on the first day of her protest.

And now she is making an appeal for nazisaluteboy’s identity? Yes dear, we believe you. Only thing publically known so far is that he arrived on a bus from Carlow. But wearing a €100+ Patagonia jacket and trend jeans would suggest he is not unemployed.

          1. GiggidyGoo

That’s in interesting video. The relevance to Penney’s though I don’t understand.
But what i did see in it was the woman who moved the flag to her left hand and proceeded to put her right arm in the air. No nazi gestures, but a still of her doing it may give that impression. Looking through a lot of the videos, stills of unicorn gestures could be interpreted the same.

      2. GiggidyGoo

Here is one. Doesn’t look like he’s quite made up his mind which side he’d like to be on. Gone up and down the street. There is another video I came across last night – one taken by someone that goes by Grand Torino – that showed him in the midst of the unicorn group, then move over to the patriot group.
Whichever grouping he was involved with, his salute was disgusting.

        1. GiggidyGoo

(i can’t remember the site the Grand Torino video was on, but I’ll post it once i come across it again)

          1. GiggidyGoo

            ?
I’ll let you in on a secret. I’m not on Twitter. Twitter is for twits. I was on facebook a few years ago for two months. I got browned off with childish ‘posts’ the like of ‘Look what I made in my restaurant today’ and a cartoon picture of some pie or other (pie eile) coming in, bit that wasn’t the worst part – it was the comments of approval from the ‘friends’ of the pie-makers etc. Sad lives. A fairytale world for some no doubt, where reality is absent.
I’ve lived quite happily without both of them.
So i don’t know who the Grand Torino fellow is, but in his video he didn’t have an english accent. More Irish.

          2. some old unicorn

This is serious darling- not just you being your online contrary selfie but real deal- now either wee in the pot or get off it.

          3. GiggidyGoo

That’s an odd post. Maybe you can provide a code cracker so that we can understand it.? You asked me a question about Grand Torino which I can’t answer, as I don’t know the person. But obviously you have some info on him?
Maybe you should therefore wee or get off the pot yourself.
I’ll wait patiently, as I’m sure your insights and information will be worth it.
Innuendo isn’t such a great barrier to hide behind. You can be called out on it. Can you answer the call-out?

          4. some old unicorn

Gigs- you don’t need to be ON twitter to know what is going on- just check their feed. It is (occasionally) nice communicating with you but please- just stop. At the very least- go research what you are attempting to defend eh?

          5. GiggidyGoo

Accusing me of being snappy. Well, that’s rich especially coming from you.
Is that pot a fixture then?

        2. Daisy Chainsaw

Tan turdino the British soldier? And all of a sudden you can’t find it when there’s evidence showing naziboy was with Gemma’s gang from the very start.

Where is he in that video link you posted? Any timestamps?

The Sunday Business Post reports the government has ordered Irish Water to cut its costs by €100m

“running budget ‘significantly higher’ than British counterparts”

What ingratitude, wha? Irish Water has spent so much money on consultants and PR that even the poo and pee it pumps into our waterways sounds like upmarket fragrances.

How abouts spending some of that fat on fixing pipes and stopping leaks from treatment facilities. It’s not rocket science. Also, govt, how about charging drinks companies for the water they’re extracting for free or next to free? Especially in water shortage areas like Dublin?

Anyone interested to what has happened to the Village magazine which was frequently featured here. The Sunday Times last week had an article which removed some of the mystery about the Village’s recent absence.

“he [Michael Smith] deserves credit for keeping Village on the newsstands ever since [it was revived after closing in 2008], with each of its 10 annual editions selling about 3,000 copies Of late it has almost disappeared, however, with two issues published in the past year. Smith admits he has been distracted by other concerns, including litigation against the developers of the Ormond hotel next door. “

What about the litigation with Michael Colgan? Who knows.

What are the plans for Village? Well, there’s to be a relaunch in October this year. “Smith’s plan is to capitalise on what he sees as an increased interest in Village’s radical left-green ideology of equality and sustainability.” How will he do this? “Part of it will be distributing significant numbers of free copies to key targets, [concentrating on] areas of Dublin that buy disproportionate numbers of the magazine, and also younger people, particularly college students.”

You’d think the green ideology would have something to say about cutting down lots of trees to print views which could be just as well distributed electronically. Still, that clears up the mystery of the absent Village.

Broadsheet by the way is now the #237 most popular website in Ireland.

We’re in year #5 of the Siteserv commission of investigation [Siteserv being the company that Denis O’Brien bought from the state-owned IBRC in controversial circumstances and which is a lynchpin member of the consortium that’s about to get the €5 billion National Broadband Plan]

    The Sunday Times reports today

“An affidavit filed by Karen Quigley, solicitor for the commission, said Arthur Cox, solicitors for [Denis] O’Brien and his companies, had revealed in July 2017 that a gmail address referred to in documentation belonged to McFadden [Niall, founder of Siteserv]

The affidavit said McFadden had been in communication with O’Brien, Island Capital, and Brian Harvey, Siteserv’s then chief executive and a shareholder, “during the course of the transaction” about an “incentive scheme” and in relation to proposals regarding Harvey’s personal loans with IBRC. Quigley said further disclosures were later made relating to McFadden. “This was the first occasion, two years after the commission was established, that it was told Mr McFadden had a role in the transaction,” she said. “The commission has since heard extensive evidence regarding Mr McFadden’s role with Siteserv plc, his relationship with O’Brien, and his involvement in the Siteserv transaction and related events.””

Are we really spending €30 million to confirm the Siteserv deal was shady? Is it really taking 5+ years? Are we really about to give Siteserv the biggest state contract ever awarded?

Came across this article which is interesting- it’s a bit of a read but worth it. Strangely, I recognise some of the tactics from a few commentators on here- particularly on how to wear a ‘liberal’ down.

How do normal people become Nazis? How can reasonable people be lead to harbor unreasonable and dangerous beliefs? The tactics white supremacists use are effective and working. This is an article that tries to make clear the tactics involved in the subversive manipulation and how their actions of planting the roots of bigoted ideology often goes unnoticed.

This is a guide for “normies”, centrists, and everyone else on how to spot the rhetoric in the wilds of the internet.

I am of course soq- unicorns are so on trend at moment that I couldn’t resist- probably could give you a history lesson on how it became such- but no.

            @B9Com

Funny- I managed to read it quite well- maybe I am just more used to reading you know- long things.

    2. f_lawless

sounds like it was written by someone with a paranoid obsession about Nazis – everyone’s a Nazi or a Nazi in disguise. Ironically, she even uses the kind of dehumanising language the original Nazis were fond of: “Often they operate in groups, like BUGS or similar.”

      1. some old unicorn

People get manipulated on the internet- then they go out and killl- this is fact. The term ‘radicalised online’ is used like it is some sort of magic dust and yet- some do not want to understand why or how- quite odd.

If you have better ideas as to how this phenomenon is happening then feel free to throw up the links.
