    Interesting design. Looks a bit ungainly, but that does not mean they are not comfortable to use. My first thought was that once not needed, if you put a little foot pedal on the leg you could make stilts :)

    I never used the old type they included there for comparison, but even the ones you get here are hell on your hands. My dad used to put pipe insulation around the handles as cushions, which helped.

    I loved my crutches when I was a kid, with a hop technique you could get up some serious speed in brittish bulldog, kids huh

    I wrapped ski socks around the handles of mine but still ended up with nerve damage to my hands. (Thankfully not permanent). Knackering instruments of torture. These new ones look the business but I hope I never get to test them.

  4. Increasing Displacement

    Too expensive
    Too many moving parts
    Will not be durable enough

    There’s a reason the two standard types are around so long
