How much are you paid in tickets to the LLS, BS, to help poor, broke, cash-strapped RTE out with publicity? Or is it for free?

You also don’t jokingly threaten to throw the TV out the window, hurl the remote into the fire, etc any more like you used to. It’s a minor but noticeable change of tone

I heard that you “offer services” in return for front seats to wave on air to the others back in the dormitory.

What happened? Did the cagey-eyed fupper not get enough sponsorship from a tie maker? Or is he bringing out a Christmas book “The tie that nobody wanted” [all royalties going to R Tubridy because the €495,000 he gets from loss-making RTE just isn’t enough]

I am not a fan of that man, and listening to him the other morning self congratulate for catching a runaway buggy was truly cringeworthy. And it then became a national news story, one that he broke himself. Argh!

Most normal people would have done the same thing, and said nothing, much less put it out over the national airwaves to show how wonderful they are.

    No tie!! So Edgy!
A new Chair? I can hardly wait.

Sinéad O’Connor and Aisling Bea I’d tune in to watch, but as for the rest…

Is Sinead only singing? I’d like a bit of chat to hear how she’s getting on.

Tie, no tie… who dreams up this inconsequential nonsense.

Definitely tune in to hear what Sinead is up to, but not Aisling Bea, she’s just not funny, she is nice to look at though which fits in well with today’s view of talent.

I heard Sinead on Dave Fanning not so long ago and she sounds well. I think she’s back living in Ireland but couldn’t swear on it. She spoke about her brother Joe, how she’s proud of him, and mentioned which of his books she likes best. I made a mental note to read it but soon forgot. It could be Redemption Falks. (I haven’t read any of his stuff, started Cowboys and Indians but ditched it.) She talked about Islam but didn’t get into it in any detail. An enjoyable interview, glad to hear her back and in good health. She’s a trooper. Sinead for President!

    “a brand new chair ”
    Oh. My. God.
If anything, this makes me want to pay an even HIGHER licence fee!!

Please, someone PhotoShop Old Fogey Tubridy over Old Fogey Rees-Mogg reclining in his new chair…

  7. Kim Cardassian

Good to see RTE making cut backs by no longer supplying Tubs with a tie. Probably a saving of €20 there

who watches that poop? Really? Second rate, Z list, LCD tripe! It was tripe when Gay Byrne helmed it and it’s still crap, insular and so parochial, it’s well past its sell-by-date…

Also, what is up with Tubridy’s right-eye? Is he squinting in a “I’m a gun slinger and I’m a gonna shoot” kind of way, or, has he early stage glaucoma?
