Big trouble for Fine Gael in Sligo-Leitrim as its second general election candidate, councillor Sinead Maguire, withdraws from the ticket.
Following Gerry Reynolds’s departure over the summer, Fine Gael now has only one candidate in the constituency, senator Frank Feighan.

People who cant get elected in a constituency dominated by SF and FF decide not to run. FG only have 1 seat here, and that will go to Frank.
