ive noticed this baby talk a lot lately, like bank of ireland “millions of new begins” or something .. begins instead of beginnings. Eir.. “making possible” .. loads of places do it, its dumb as hell, no one asked for it, they just decided that people want dumb baby talk.

@Paulus hahaha, agreed. i wish theyd dream small, be away.

@class wario haha defo seems more “english is my third language” carry on, but i think they’re trying to do the marketing baby talk, but fell short of that low bar and slid in at “MY WIFE”

Before this type of advertising every ad for years was “we are …people…we are ..innovators, we are ..(etc etc)” Every ad agency had the same formula. “We are ad-men…” Us cynical types down here see the BS, but sadly most people are stupid and wouldn’t think to mute the TV when the ads come on. So it works. Even electronic devices are programmed to seem like they have personalities “hummm..seems something went wrong…”, or your phone orders you about: “connect charger!” or my absolute favourite: “your phone is dangerously low on space”.

It all started to go downhill with “Think Different” by Apple.
I learned the difference between an adverb and an adjective as a child.
