PricewaterhouseCoopers in Bangkok, Thailand; advert for job at PwC in Bangkok
David writes:
“I noticed the following role for “Office Boy” by PwC accountants in Thailand. This could be seen as ageist and sexist, but hey it’s not in a first world country. I thought it was interesting that reputable companies are happy to act like this in other countries.”
Anyone?
Building relationships, creating value?

well shure you could dress it up with other terminbolloxology like Internship but I guess that silly line manager must’ve forgotten to run the ad past HR spellcheck first
HR? Okay granddad!! Don’t you mean Talent Acquisition Service, Onboarding Lead and Recruitment Consultants?.
heehee or probably a cloud-based Talent Acquisition as a Service (TAaaS)
well now @pat you might possibly be more tuned into the young people’s lingo used to describe the Personnel Dept “space” than I thankfully…was that just the line or did u “conquer” yourself a full house? :)
If you play your cards right, they might even reach out and invite you to join their multi-disciplinary agile team.
I’m deeply offended by this deeply problematical carry on
In my business, I constantly see ads looking for females DJs, female hosts, never an issue. I remember some poor roofer in north England looking for a strong lad on twitter got crucified!
I think Thailand might have some slightly more pressing gender issues to deal with than this.
They do? What would they be?
I wonder if they are rating Office boys ? probably not just office girls

it really doesn’t matter. it just doesn’t.
So that’s it then. War with Thailand. Never thought I’d see the day.
