      she’s actually put most of it back on since that photo was taken

      unfortunate

    8st. = 50kg of fat = 388,888 kcal

    If it took her exactly 1 year then she was burning 1065 kcal ever single day on top of her basal metabolic rate!!

    Pity the article doesn’t mention what else she did: “she used a holistic approach to losing weight” because apart from the eh Unislim magic that’s like doing a 10k run every single day!!!

    Fantastic achievement

        I always admire people I see who are starting out running or carrying a bit of weight, it’s hard enough sometimes when you are trim, fair f##ks

          are you saying that you never, ever take delight in overtaking them with an effortless stride, whispering “see you later fatty” as you pass?

            I have to confess my form dramatically improves, core in, up on the toes, mouth breathing me ? whenever I have to run past a fit fella,
            that’s why these dark evenings are great, can go back to dying in peace ;)

    Nearly 9 st in a year – it’s bordering impossible. My kid sister attended Weightwatchers after having each of her three kids, she was just trying lose pregnancy weight – maybe 10/12ish pounds – it took a year in each instance. No doubt Bernie looks great, as she did when she was 18st. A happier person now?

    How on earth does a woman who is not particularly big- boned get to 18 stone in the first place? You’d have to be eating night, noon and morning, and presumably you’d feel sick from over-eating all the time. That’s the real achievement. Congrats Bernie all the same, looking good.

        sorry that’s a sweeping statement but if you look at average measurements on a body composition scale ” big boned ” or skeleton size does not cut it as a reason/calculation for being overweight, skeletons just don’t weigh that much about 15 percent of your recommended weight

        Haha, I didn’t think of that. Or as a pal of mine says, there were no fat people in the concentration camps.

    It’s the hand-down-the-trousers picture. That’s why this post is here. Indeed the hand down the trousers is all I can see and I have no idea whether anyone could or couldn’t lose 9st in a year and what’s more I don’t really care.

    From the article “Before committing to the health drive in 2016, Bernie weighed 18 stone 10lbs.”
    It doesn’t say she lost it all in 1 year.

    Fair play all the same, best of luck to her.
