Via Michael Clifford in The Irish Examiner:
Later that day, she had a missed call from an unknown phone number and when she rang it back, the judge identified himself by his first name and being “from the court”. She says that he told her “you looked very beautiful today”.
She claims that he texted her while she was on a sun holiday with her children and when she came back, she received a phonecall from the judge where he told her that “her skin must look nice now”.
She claims that the judge repeatedly expressed an interest in meeting her and they eventually met for a coffee. She appeared before him again in relation to her case at a hearing, where she became very emotional.
She said she was afraid to tell her solicitor and barrister about the contacts with the judge, as he had asked her not to. When she was granted a temporary barring order instead of a permanent order, she became very upset.

Poor woman – trying to get away from a violent brute and she ends up dealing with this smarmy git. What is it about men in positions of power thinking they are irresistible?
CJH syndrome?
+ 1.
christ, did he have to be creepy, your skin looks nice ! what do you expect from that ?
how about “could I take your for dinner sometime” probably not appropriate but not creepy
Went to the Buffalo Bill school of seduction.
“…but despite approaching a number of solicitors, she was unable to find one willing to represent her.”
Thus proving Solicitors and Judges are all in one big clique looking out for each other. And we’re in 2019, why is there only a Judicial Council Bill going through now, have they really been untouchable up to now?
Could a judge be that stupid?
Yes and one would have to question the legal profession from whence he came from..
Mick does geat work when it comes to state corruption and abuse of power. Used to guest host Tonight with Vincent Browne quite a bit too. Sadly that show was replaced by a light weight twitter virtue signaller and a disgraced former politician and I haven’t seen Mick on it since. Audience numbers are nowhere the 400k VinB show pulled either. As for a judge behaving “innapropriately” – well why would’nt they – who’s going to stop or at least stop paying them? Politicians are (eventually) held to account by their electorate – not our Justices though, they’re basically untouchable.
Mick Clifford is one of the good ones. Excellent journalist
400k?… what…. where’d you get that from?
It average 166,000 viewers a night of the course of its 10 years with highs of 400K during peak recession. I dont know the figures for the TV3 player or youtube.
Christ – the husband could now appeal any judgement that was made, and would have good grounds for getting it thrown out.
hat judge was brazen and sloppy about his approach because he knew nothing would come of it. wish his name would be printed, i dont know why his identity is being protected.
Well this is all just alleged ; maybe that’s why he hasn’t been named. All due respect to Irish journalism and all that.
Wow. How’s frustrating that must be. Nobody willing to touch it
Was the judge trying to court her?
I’ll grab my coat. Joking aside that is predatory and out of order.
Is he that judge with no balls?
Justice Mickey.
very good, Well served sir
This Judge asked her, and her husband for their phone numbers when he was dealing with the case. That’s pretty odd. Maybe thinking that asking for both would cover up his intent to try it on with this woman.
you should see the pics he sent the husband
wretched – capital R
You could drop your briefs in shock in the courtroom.
He knew he was protected by the in camera rule. No one can talk about anything he did. Guarantee you it was worse than a few texts
