Jolly good of His Royal Highness to knock the Labour free broadband offer off the front pages for a day or two.
Meanwhile Teflon Boris surging in the polls.

What, in her view, is good public service broadcasting? Does she have an example of an organisation doing it well? Does she have any vision beyond selling the paintings?

Well on the 30th of this month
We’ll all know for sure Man’O

But I suspect Cian isn’t going to be far off
80% of the valid polls will be for main party candidates

She likes the BBC and the Finnish public broadcaster who are both doing “well” in general…. seeing as you asked.

        Don’t know the rest.

Okay, Yleisradio Oy is worth looking at since there isn’t a huge population differential between them and us. It employs around 3,200 people so what does she think will be gained by shedding staff at RTE? She needs to move on from the car allowance blah blah and focus on what good public service broadcasting means to her; what it means to people paying a licence fee and what’s possible.

I said it again and again
Stop focusing on payroll and making renumeration and perks the base of the arguements

RTÉ needs to address a lot more than its payroll to be viable as well as worth it ie Value For Money

Letting them off to nip 200 shop floor staff and tuck 15% off their inflated big tickets will only have them back in 2 years again, while the likes of Paul Reynolds are swanning around the news rooms

It needs major investment and it needs complete change

And they are not willing to even recognise the latter
And therefore to risky for the former

            Shut it down
            Do a FÁS with it

    lol
the old “(sigh) yes I’d agree, my salary is way too high…and I don’t blame people for being angry, I mean I would be too if I were in their shoes* but what can I do, it’s not my fault, and like it’s almost like a burden, and….”

*she’s not in their shoes though, is she?

Stolen from Twitter “This is the second time in my lifetime that the Royal Family has organised a car crash.” Andy should be looking for new advisors.

Speaking of Royals, The Crown is back and Margaret is pickled in gin. Wonder what season Randy Andy’s shambolic interview will appear in…
