That is a very interesting article. A little like reintroducing wolves to Yellowstone, it is good to see attempts to redress the imbalances of nature and ecosystems caused by human intervention. I wish the little critters the best, and in the longer term that this works.
As far as I know, beavers were never in Ireland, so likely would not be a good solution here: I am not a fan of introducing foreign species as you have no idea what impact it will have on local species.
