Not around the eyes.
This afternoon.
New Ross, County Wexford.
A billboard belonging to Fine Gael by-election candidate Verona Murphy ahead of the Wexford by-election on November 29.
Ms Murphy has caused controversy by suggesting asylum seeker children as young as three need to be “deprogrammed” as they may have been manipulated by ISIS.
Meanwhile…
A bream ticket.
Suit yourselves.

give codd the nod – i love it. ron needs to take a leaf out his book:
‘cop on, vote ron’, with ron’s big smiley head in the background. perfect..
Codd got the nod big time in the locals. First timer and elected.
I must admit, after the earlier post about a certain old vinyl record, my first thought on seeing his pic was ‘Is that Rolf Harris?’
Sorry, Mr Codd!
Is the V on the poster burning? A very apt image for her career…
Reminded.me of the KKK
ah here
lol.. possible copyright infringement / damaging your brand there….

‘‘Twas a first impression – and far be it from me to hold back.
I wouldn’t be so sure, public sentiment can be very different to what is thought and portrayed in the predominantly liberal media.
The liberal right wing media who still play the angelus.
What an uppity head she has.
Holy photoshop!
Ahh yes, but at the time was she capable of sweating and does she have a doctors note as proof to back it all up?… Or wait, was it a fake tweet manufactured by some dark forces that we cannot know?
I’m loving this new trend of daily casual F-f/g establishment racism media storms.. reminds me of the always reliable, british tory party’s antics for the past hundred years…
To be fair to her, her comments are mostly ignorant and a very common simple-mided logical conclusions based on being influenced by things like gurgle and facederp echo-chamber propaganda, reading the sun etc. tabloids, delusional conspiracy thinking and fear and hatred being encouraged that all leads to 1 + 1 = 666 etc.
Still, not fit to be a political representative in today’s society needs a lot of deprogramming and re-education herself IMPO, anyway.
I’d find it a lot easier to feel sympathy for her if she wasn’t dumb enough to get involved with an even dumber F-f/g establishment.

Thing is, despite her awful choice of words, there is a certain element of truth in what she said. By the law of averages- perhaps not ISIS level but some will hold extreme Islamic beliefs. I don’t know where that transfers into radicalisation but it not beyond the realms of possibility, especially given the disgraceful way some asylum seekers are treated when they actually get here.
The plain fact is- these people- mainly young men- have not been vetted and that concern has been voiced at every single community meeting where a site was proposed. Now the correct speaks can get their hands on their hips all they want but if FG felt she was an electoral liability she would be gone- but she is not.
Time will tell how well she gets on.
Weasel words and your redneck manifesto.
Country boys shag better.
…she seems to have gotten the bolx+ vote…
Democracy baby- awful- yeah?
Nice plug for West Side Story there!
FG are on a lose lose on this.
If she did win the seat, then that’s telling Varadkar and Co. that the electorate agree with her racist comments.
If she doesn’t then that’s a message to Varadkar and her director of elections Flanagan that the electorate doesn’t agree with their politics.
Doritos and dip time.
Ahh don’t stop now GiggidyKIu
Are there no crimes by non white or non Irish for you to report on?
italia’90: are you implying – regardless of colour/ creed/ nationality/ social status – that corruption and FFG politics have not had an impact on everyone who lives in Ireland in modern times?
Was Italy in 1990 that good that you couldn’t use Éire’90?
No, corruption wasn’t mentioned in his comment
Racism was
GiggidyKIu has form on here dogwhistIing by doing a NoeI GreaIish

ItaIy in 1990 was totes amazebaIIs
I hope you weren’t intentionally trying to come across as being a IittIe, ya know,
xenophobic?
Well if ye’re going to be having a 1990 showdown
It has to be
Cork’90
Although, Jan – June Italia ’90
Works for me
We only ran off with 1990 from that September anyway
And didn’t get out of our Jackie Charlton t-shirts and into our Barry’s Ts until the donkeys won the Derby
Besides all ye Italia 90 lads were kilt’ trying to pay back yere Credit Cards n’ Credit Union Books n’ Mammys “n Nannys, ye barely made it to new Christmas clothes.
And it was the foreign game that had ye all losing the run of yerselves – so it’s inevitable those Plastic Patriots are going to pick on ya anyway ‘Talia
So we’re sound with Jan – June Italia ’90 ?
And CORK for everything else 1990
Counihans’90 for the amount of time I spent in there after moving to Cork’90
Well if you’re going to be bringing in down to named lads from Cork’90
You’ll have walk back from Conor and give him up for Teddy McCarthy ’90
And Brian Corcoran for the minor Cork ’90
hah I know Teddy weII
We worked for opposing stout brewers in the same territory
Is he stiII having “car troubIes” ?
;)
Now now Jan – June Italia 90
If you’re going to be introducing car troubles at least include some of the bucks that lined out over there with ye in Italia ’90
Yep, lose/lose because their benchmark for racism is set at the same level as your own. The only difference though is that you continuously change your name here.
Now, why would you consider that (link) as dog whistling Noel Grealish? Do you know what the cargo was ?
I give codall about Codd, mainly cos I’m not in his constituency. If he wins I hope he doesn’t live up to his name.
Now that Jan – June Italia 90 has woken up Cork’90
I’ve a feeling one of the characters in that buke features a lad from Wexford by the name of Codd
She’s not as well articulated as all that.
Shur, you could have no truck with her.
She could get a lorry-load of votes.
Her middle name is Suzie.
Didn’t think it was Mack.
She most likely will come in fifth wheel.
Well she’s definitely jack- knifed any career in professional politics
