Fianna Fáil Senator Lorraine Clifford Lee, whose social media history has raised accusations of bigotry and racism, canvassing for the Dublin Fingal by-election, which takes place on Friday, November 29.

Senator Clifford Lee last night joined 9 candidates who signed up to anti-racism pledge from the Irish Network Against Racism (INAR) which commits candidates to conduct their election campaigns ‘in a way that does not incite hatred or prejudice on the grounds of race, colour, nationality, religious belief and membership of the Traveller or Roma community’.

    the issues with her comments are of course valid, and something to be concerned about. however. she’s fianna fail. even if she made none of those comments, she’s not going to be any good for anyone if she gets elected.

    All I keep hearing is she used racist language but I’d be curious to know the full context so I can make a proper judgement myself.
