British soldiers at the junction of Moore Street and Parnell Street, Dublin 1 during the 1916 Rising. Cannabis plants worth an estimated €12,000 were found last week during searches in Moore Street buildings once occupied by the rebels

The heroes of Ireland agreed
A rising is just what we need
And the place where they planned
To make their last stand
Is currently used to grow weed

Well done, the ‘Save Moore Street’ folks – a derelict growhouse seems a much better monument to the founders of this country than some offices or apartments with a nice plaque on the front.

Who’s the muppet responsible for this picture? If that pub is Conway’s then the British are facing the wrong way and are aiming at the Parnell statue while rebels are in Moore Lane taking them out one by one. Know your Dublin!
