Can I just mention Boyle’s Sloe and Damson Gin currently avilable from Aldi at a very reasonable €24.99.
Obviously not as good as Teeling Whiskey available from the distillery in the Liberties but nevertheless a very nice drop which Mrs Bud likes rather a lot.

Not bad, but like all of the retailing sloe gins – way too sweet for my liking.
MYO. Macerate Your Own I say.

        I agree.
I have a chap who always drops in a couple of bottles of home-made sloe gin for Christmas and the sharper the better for me.
But herself likes a sweet lady drink.
Funnily enough I do like the Teeling whiskey particularly their single grain.
And Dalwhinnie as a nice sipping whisky.

I won a wonderful bottle of Teeling whiskey a few years back for me dad. It was absolutely lovely!

Pfft, they could have asked a better question than that!
For all those answers, all they are offering is a guided tour with more conditions that anyone could get their head around.
What’s lacking is a bit of generosity, just give everyone on Broadsheet a bottle… where’s the real spirit of Christmas?

No mention of John Teeling’s conflict diamond fortune then? I wonder if those kids in Botswana know it’s Christmas…
