The Blades are inducted in to Hall of Fame at the Irish Rock ‘n Roll Museum Experience to the delight of their Lambretta/Vespa-borne army.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of The Blades hit ‘Downmarket’.
They play the Academy, Middle Abbey Street, Dublin 1 on December 14.

The lads did the Day Tripper festival back in 2017
And t’was like we were all 21 again
(Which was particularly something for me as t’was my 50th)
Mods came from all over to Waterford that weekend just for them

Apologies, but I have to say. Those ‘mods’ happened in Dublin/Ireland 20 years after the UK. They were sad f*ucks then and they are sad f*ucks now..
“Inducted”? Maybe you meant to say ‘hoodwinked’ or perhaps even ‘paid their way to be included’. Don’t think for a second this was done out of anything to do with love for their music. Maybe ask Phil Lynott’s estate how they feel about Phil and some of his mother’s treasured possessions being “inducted” into this business?
