Red Jeremy and his Red Book, his evidence is mostly faked contracts from Russian bots. Silly anti-Semite got played. But by whom?

I think we are safe. Corbyn is no Tony Benn. Labour will rue the day (the one after the GE next week).

Not once has the Tories stated that these documents are doctored and they most certainly would if they were- patent extensions and higher drug costs are most definitely on the cards.

Because they appeared on Reditt- who subsequently traced the source to Russia- does not mean that is where the Labour party and media got them. Even Sky news yesterday was playing it down- so the real source or at least department- is known.

Mark Curtis tells it like it is.

“Wonderful watching UK media kill itself during election campaign. No sensible person can now believe UK has newspapers; the incessant barrage of propaganda totally reveals them as lobbyists for the oligarchy. From Mail to Guardian to BBC. It’s a new era.”

I guess M.’s A is not one of the sensible people

        Who is Mark Curtis ?
Why should his views on the UK media be any more authoratative than anyone else’s ?
I’ll let you into a little secret – Twitter is not real life. It’s just the bloke down the end of the bar having a rant.

        1. Brother Barnabas

at the Greater London Under-12 Spelling Bee Championship in 1985, Mark got “authoritative” right, so he can’t be a complete dunce

          1. Bud Flanagan

Did he start his sentences with a capital letter and end them with a full stop ?
If so he definitely wasn’t a complete dunce.

Mark Curtis: British historian, journalist. Also the author of several books (eg “Secret Affairs: Britain’s Collusion with Radical Islam”, “Unpeople: Britain’s Secret Human Rights Abuses”, “Web of Deceit: Britain’s Real Role in the World”) which have brought valuable insight into the activities of British the Intelligence & Security services which are rarely touched upon by corporate media.

Noam Chomsky: said of his work “unearthing this largely hidden history is a work of the highest significance. John Pilger: “I know of no other historian who has mined British foreign policy files as devastatingly”.

He also has experience of working for the Guardian and the Independent so has that inside perspective to glean from.

Anyway, it should be obvious at this stage to the average person – who has at least some critical thinking skills and is not willfully blinkered by political beliefs – that ,in the run up to the election, something is seriously amiss with British media across the spectrum.

          1. Bud Flanagan

But would you say the same thing if Comrade Corbyn was leading the polls ?
Laughably, Corbynistas now reckon the BBC is biased against them.

Front cover of Sindo. Is that a picture of a WOMAN marrying a man? What kind of PC Gone Mad World is this?

Tactical voting is the name of the game in this British election- mainly to block a Johnson majority. The phrase ‘hold your nose’ is being used on a regular basis meaning vote for the most likely to win apart from Tory- even if you do not agree with them.

There is even a website to give people their options. https://votesmart2019.com This is what happens when the people want a referendum but get a general election instead- mind you, it could be a very useful approach in our own up and coming of course.

    1. Bud Flanagan

      These people who ” want a referendum ” …
Didn’t they already have one ?
Anyway, it certainly looks like a lot of Labour supporters are going to hold their nose and vote Tory.
And with the Brexit Party not contesting 300 seats where Tories are likely to win the Leave alliance looks set to deliver a comfortable majority for Boris.
The latest poll gives him a 15 point lead.
      I feel your pain bro.

      1. some old queen

And what did the polls give May last time around eh? Never before has there been so many unknown variables, way more than last time.

Brexit is dominating this election except Brexit is not what a general election should be about- even Moggs has admitted that they would lose another referendum so if that transfers into the general, then it will be a hung parliament all over again.

        Time will tell.

Data Murphy – golden handshake of almost €500,000. In the meantime, the Boy Harris’ department blocks €2000 payment for 250 victims of cervical check debacle. https://amp.breakingnews.ie/ireland/department-of-health-blocks-2k-to-cervical-check-victims-969010.html?__twitter_impression=true

Emerging that Boy Varadkar gets drawn into the Grace case. And many others . And there was I thinking it was only Noonan.

That’s three health ministers in a row, FG, who have no respect for the vulnerable. FG do as FG do.

  5. Catherine costelloe

Varadkar “ready to step in” is blabbering balderdash on FAI crisis. He should be putting pen to paper advising EUFA that their new “executive” Delaney is being investigated by CAB and tax experts. It may well be in EUFA’s interest to put Delaney on gardening duties until the outcome of these enquiries . Another own goal from this ( . .)

  6. Tea And Brexits

Strong smell of fake tan and geriatric incontinence from the Sindo in the rush to celebrate Kevin Myers’s win against RTE; conveniently ignoring how anti-semitism was the author of his own self-destruction.

        1. Gabby

Yes, Jesus belonged to a semitic ethnic group that spoke Aramaic. Mock Jesus and you mock a semite.

      1. Tea And Brexits

        Wrong,

“On behalf of the Sunday Times I apologise unreservedly for the offence caused by comments in a column written by Kevin Myers .

“It contained views that have caused considerable distress and upset to a number of people . As the editor of the Ireland edition I take full responsibility for this error of judgment. This newspaper abhors anti-Semitism and did not intend to cause offence to Jewish people”.

If we’ve told you once we’ve told you a thousand times when the nurse comes to clean up your soiled nappy please don’t call her matron

      1. Ringsend Incinerator

Due to NHS weekend cutbacks under Johnson he may have to wait in the stink until the Monday Papers.

  7. Rob_G

Broadsheet turned into ‘Tedious British Election Round-up’ so gradually that I didn’t even notice.
