All They Are Saying

at

This morning.

Kildare Street, Dublin 2.

TDs  From left: Paul Murphy, Gino Kenny, Bríd Smith Séamus Healy, Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin and Richard Boyd Barrett – gather outside Leinster House to publicise the Solidarity Alliance against Racism and Fascism (SARF) Rally for Peace on Earth and Against The Politics of Hate in Dublin this Saturday.

The event is a counter-rally to a Protect Free Speech demonstration organised by Yellow Vest Ireland with both protests meeting at the same venue and time:  Leinster House at 1pm this Saturday.

Gulp.

Imagine having views so repugnant you have to shield them behind ‘freedom of speech.’ Just like the Nazis and the Westboro Church in the US. Objecting to our repugnant views? That means you’re objecting to freedom of speech! Or from the other side: of COURSE their views are repugnant but I must support them because of freedom of speech!

The Yellow vests are infested by freemen and right wing scum

    Call a spade a spade

Free speech is not an ansolute right either..its to be balanced with other rights

Agreed but hate speech is a very subjective term and when you read cases like the recent convictions of those boyos arrived onto a Luas tooled up who then set about hammering others because they were going to an anti Islam demo- it makes you wonder who the real scum are.

paul murphy does too many marches. when theres too many youll NEVER get lots of people at any one given march. the water protest worked because everyone got together and all marched as one. murphy does like 7 marches a week, and fupp all go to them. he needs to be more focused or all these itty bitty marches and their purpose are ignored.

It’s not a rally for Free Speech. It’s a rally to be able to use racist language against any group they don’t like.

+1 Totally not a rally for free speech – absolutely NOTHING to do with free speech … G**** O’D, Yellow Vest & their minions don’t give a poo about free speech.

maybe we should form a third group
and put together a Choir with it

    So you have a Rally
    And a Demonstration
    and now maybe a Choir

all we’re short is a March (brass band would do)
    and a Protest

    for the full house

throw in a Parade for the bonus ball

        Ah yeah

He’s solid, and the kind of candidate that would do well in any Constituency – well maybe not Kirreee
