In fairness.

This morning/afternoon.

Via London Evening Standard:

Massive queues have formed outside polling stations in London on election day, with one man claiming his was “20 times busier” than in 2017.

One woman said she was queueing for 35 minutes outside her polling station, which was the busiest she had seen it in 20 years of voting there.

Polls close at 10pm, and many people would have been hoping to tick their preferred box before heading to work.

Sure they’re all experts at it by now. Note the British citizens in Ireland (and elsewhere) voted some weeks ago by post.

A lot of those photos are coming from constituencies that had a large Labour majority in 2017, so I am not sure you can draw that conclusion from the photos.

Also, there seems to be a large amount of people voting before work, so that they don’t have to be out after dark and also so as not to clash with Christmas plans in the evening.

increasing their majority in London is useless to Labour, that’s why they’ve been pussyfooting around the Brexit issue for the last 3 years.

I do enjoy the flaccid waffle that passes for reportage while the polls are open. Next, we’ll be talking to Gladys in St Albans who’ll be analysing what her tea leaves mean for the candidates in this key Tory-held marginal.

      eeee lad.

Back in the day we had to queue for at least an hour to get into the gay venue called Heaven- an English mindset obviously- deliberate.
