Little bit disingenuous calling it flavoured water. A lot of work is required to produce this (I have tasted it and bought it as a gift when I lived in London – it’s quite popular) but they also have to do the extra work of removing the alcohol during/after the distillation process. I don’t see why a zero alcohol content reduces the drink to being “flavoured water”. The only thing that seems watery here is your understanding of the processes involved.
Sure, but it is not taxed as alcohol is, and it is the tax that drives up the price of the alcoholic beverage so this stuff, priced the same as the alcoholic beverage, is surely a rip off, no?
Granted it isn’t taxed as alcohol, but there is more processing this than ordinary spirit. You have all the same production costs PLUS the cost of removing the alcohol (and associated R&D and equipment investment).
The other difference is scale – I don’t know about this product – but there would be much larger volumes of regular beers than non-alcoholic beers; so you don’t get the efficiencies of scale.
That always get me. Why is non-alcoholic beer the same price as beer in pubs?

realtime price is €23.50. I’m surprised that shops don’t market the net price more – most people don’t realise how much goes to the revenue

surely alcohol boils off at a lower temperature than the boiling point of water, or indeed , won’t freeze at the same temperature as the liquid in which it’s mixed . Either way it dosn’t seem a big deal to remove it
I’m not entirely certain but I believe removing all 100% of the alcohol and without damaging the flavour is what makes it more complicated.
