Great to see Boris there hanging out again with his his good pal Lebedev, the Russian oligarch who got his billions from his father – the former KGB agent, turned banker. Curious that the day after his victory, Boris saw fit to attend a party hosted by the father and son at one of their London properties. Mind you, he’s a regular at Lebedev’s exclusive parties. Can you imagine the uproar in the media if Corbyn had won and was doing the same?

Queen Elizabeth should be invited in 2020 to tour the boreens of Mayo and Roscommon so that she can repeat that it’s been a bumpy year next December.

Poem I wrote a few years back

    ________

    The Prodigal Son

Estranged for most of the year,
Through actions of his own doing
    Rolls up to the door
But there is no trouble brewing
Forgotten in what seemed an age
And arrived after about a year
The prodgial son walks through the door
    And allays every single fear
    Greeted with open arms
    and kisses to the cheek
Christmas feels like it did years ago
Light at the end of the tunnel, tis not bleak
We take out a chair for him
The cry goes out “Make room for one more at the table”
He tells us about move abroad
And how his marriage was not stable
    Family torn up
And in need of a break
We’ll always have room for him
We are all allowed to make the odd mistake
It doesnt matter what has been said
Or for that matter, what has been done,
For we now have back a member of the family
    No longer a prodigal son

I see the “Irish” Daily Mail has gone up another 20 cents and now costs €1.80!! I use the term”Irish” loosely because, today like most days, they can’t seem to be able to put an Irish related picture on their front page. Today it’s a picture of Caroline Flack. More and more of their paper is just a copy of the English Daily Mail, and yet they charge more and more for it. Once upon a time, it was good value, now it is terrible value for money, they usually have 50 odd pages, half of those are ads or photos, they really are milking the readers for every cent they can get. Not sure if the Irish are that stupid, maybe some are!

Just wondering what proposed legislation Michéal D will be signing into law over his Christmas vittles this year.

…mind you…all his labour bullies are gone…so he won’t be hiding in the corner from AK47 to sign the water bill without a whimper…or mini me Howlan to pass whatever Noonan bid him…
