And unfortunately this is the outcome of electing incapable political filth to office. We see similar inaction and ineptitude in Ireland every day.

Hopefully it’s the wake up call these people needed.

True, but it was more the Australian connection that put Beds Are Burning in my head. The lead singer, who has always spoken out on environmental issues, is from New South Wales where the beach evacuations are now happening, and was for a period the Australian Minister for Environmental Protection. Had his policies been followed through, they may (just may) have reduced what is occurring now.

Unfortunately, Murdoch controls a lot of the media in Australia. The Aussie Labor Party made similar mistakes to the British Labour Party – too many compicated policies (which should be a good thing), an unpopular leader, and a small target Liberal (Tory) Party.

Australia has been committed to unfettered burning of dirty brown coal for years and aping the US dismissal of climate change. The chickens coming home to roost are now on fire.

She has either lost her home or can’t stay there due to the fires. She has probably brought her goat with her.
