The first Irish JYSK store in Naas, County Kildare

Danish interiors giant JYSK announce 7 new stores to open in Ireland in the first half of 2020.

Emer writes:

The retailer is set to open 40 JYSK stores in Ireland over the next three to five years.

The next two stores will open in Waterford on Thursday, 27th February, and Limerick on Thursday, 26th March.

Following this, JYSK has its sights set on opening stores in Sligo, Carlow and Dublin, plus two stores in Cork city, during summer 2020. JYSK will create more than 70 full-time jobs with the opening of these new stores…

    First store as far as I know opened in Portlaoise. MFI.2 for Millennials. Tat, crap, over-priced flatpack nightmares – job lot bed-linen from whatever liquidation warehouse Denis Guiney used to buy from and scented candles. They’ll be gone in three years having snapped up empty retail space on cheap lettings.

    i love when this happens. then we see how hard the home companies were rippin us off. lidl were the first .. really showed up dunnes etc and how much they rode us.

        Maybe so, but it ain’t no Eyjafjallajökull – unless the bottom falls out of the market – or it erupts…
