The missiles are falling. I actually thought the Iranians would have more sense. Maybe it’s just a slap and nothing more serious.

Iran’s response was a bit naff tbh.
A bit like Ireland’s mighty Air Corps massing for a night-time raid on Rockall.
As they swoop low for the first pass there are no actual bombs.
But a spotty Rangers cadet hanging out of the window with his trusty Lee Enfield rifle.
No ammo of course.
But he goes through the motions anyway pretending to shoot.
” Aim, two three … fire,two three … bang,two three. ”
After a successful sortie the lads head back to base and lash into the Cidona, with the adrenaline still coursing through their veins.
Never in the field of human conflict have so many given so little for so few.
Brave lads.
And good times.

Charlie Tanagain sure got his ass handed to him by Diarmuid Ferriter yesterday. Defer? Charlie boy won’t be in government. The usual bull.
He was caught out lying (nothing new of course) big time, and the obvious blueshirt attempt to re-write history failed.
Day day Charlie.

I find your habit of calling FG politicians ‘boy’ a bit strange; Charlie Flanagan is 63…

If Long Bailey gets the Labour leadership gig there won’t be a Labour government for a long time.
…so what…whatever flavour holds power at Westminster makes little difference for Ireland…if anything, some of the most draconian measures have been introduced by Labour…ask residents of Garvaghy Road what they think about Mo Mowlam and her decision to brutally cast them aside to make way for a triumphalist parade by Paisley and Trimble…

Whichever one of these losers gets the leadership gig Labour will be out of power for a very long time.
The only one with any credibility and the sense to understand why Corbynism was a disaster is Lisa Nancy and she’ll get shafted by the big unions.
It’s the leader after next who’ll have the best chance of dragging Labour back to anywhere near electability – and his name should be Dan Jarvis.

jarvis would be an excellent LP leader – and would be an appealing options for a lot of Tory voters: lifelong LP connection but almost a Tory dna to him

Not at the moment.
His time will come. And he has plenty of it ( he’s only 47 )
The ‘musical’ equivalent of a boot stamping on a human face – forever. No surprise that this repetitively dogmatic, fascistically rousing tosh would appeal to you Clamps :0)

There’s room for both of those too. I’ve a fairly eclectic taste, with live shows for both Riverdance 25 and The Murder Capital booked for February :)
I draw the line at those ‘Cirque de…’ shows, and fell asleep at a James Taylor gig haha :)
Can’t wait for this to get to the Grand Canal Theatre..
