That’s the Kilcullen – Naas road: it cut us all off from the dump in Kilcullen :) Also took out the power to the area. Not alone across the county, let alone the country.
I must say I have huge respect for the county council emergency teams who go out to clear these falls, and especially to the ESB crews out restoring power in sometimes horrendous conditions.
So far, glad to hear that there have not been any injuries as in previous storms. Hopefully it will stay that way, and our emergency services will not have to go out and risk their lives.

well-said
(apart possibly on the Kilcullen thing, upon which I am agnostic)
Slightly Bemused
Hah! I just realised that how I put that was a little misleading. Kilcullen is a great town, and has some wonderful pubs, a lively music scene, and a great bookshop.
I meant the dump at Silliot Hill, just outside the town. I had originally planned a recycling run for today, but cancelled due to the weather.

Is this a good time to reflect on one reason that the ESB workers are so well paid?

so is it holy god’s way of telling us not to go to kilcullen?
