I don’t vote for slogans. Slogans are catchy advertising. Check the policy contents before voting.
According to Minister Regina Doherty today, “nobody ever reads manifestos during an election”. Which is assuming a lot about both the electorate and her own party’s efforts to compile a manifesto.
Also, what arrogance.
They all like to spend public money on posting their manifesto extracts – adorned with slogans – to the names & addresses on the voter lists.
The party manifesto generally runs to 50-150 of pages long.
And, yes, very few people read them.
The parties send a 1 or 2-page “summary” to each voter. with ‘catchy’ slogans.
From 2016:
FG :134 pages
FF: ?? pages – I can’t find it,
SF: 56 pages
Lab: 132 pages

Pack of lies
3 word slogan
Neck like a jockey’s
Vote RON number 1
Well he has my vote. I am assuming he’s hard at work on his manifesto and all the campaign promises he hopes to break.
What fun it will be if Regina loses her seat
Don’t think there’s much ‘if’ about it. She tried treating Helen McEntee like dirt in the Dail corridor. Blueshirts may be blueshirts, but they’ll turn of the likes of Doherty pretty quickly. I’d think Doherty will fail this time.
This flipp’n garbage now for the next 6 weeks.
“Oh he said this, and they did that oh and the other didn’t do this”…………plus all the waste of paper, transport, fuel and all the other crap the parties indulge in; but it’s ok becasue these are NOT “ordinary people” like they describe you and I; “ordinary people”…………….(as if they are extraordinary, maybe they are; if so it’s certainly not for the right reasons)
COMMENTS!!!!
“… for the next 6 weeks”

*3 WEEKS…………..
Too annoyed to count the weeks. A day of this crap is just too much.
Ah come on, it’s only once every 5 years or so, and its fun – think how good Miriam Lord’s columns will be over the next few weeks.
It beats living in Iran.
Meehole V Lord Leo… That’s not a choice, that’s a dilemma.
+1
“attacks govt on housing, health, cost of living” now that it suits them to try and get their turn in the fancy seats instead of supporting these policies from the “opposition” benches.
Two cheeks.
Jaysus, FF front bench is weak
Down a couple of stalwarts since ButtonGate
Maybe Meehole will get Ahern out to help with the canvass?
