Making Exaggerated Claims

Fianna Fáil General Election HQ, Dublin

Fianna Fail Spokesperson on Finance Michael McGrath and Spokesperson on Business, Enterprise & Innovation Robert Troy outline the Party’s proposals to tackle high insurance costs…

Fianna Fáil has pledged to increase penalties for fraudulent insurance claims and to force fraudulent claimants pay the legal expenses for defendants.

The party began the third week of the general election campaign by outlining its plans to tackle insurance costs.

Finance spokesman Michael McGrath said that Fianna Fáil would immediately call a “crisis summit” if it is in the next government and would attempt to introduce legislation to cap payouts. If this is not successful or possible the party says it would call a referendum to allow payouts to be capped.

Hmm.

*cough*

Every time I see or hear a new idea, I think, I could get behind them. Then I remember they are all a shower of lieing backstards. Such a shame.

well established that companies continue to jack up premiums in spite of lowering claims over the years. telling that FF don’t want to tackle the companies and are instead pushing this

didnt the level of false insurance claims get debunked by Pearse Doherty not so long ago? maybe FF were in work that day? the companies set the premiums not the level of fraud from false claims…

So, a referendum on a private industry. Doubtful such a thing could occur. The politicians are really scraping the end of the barrel this time.
