Allegedly – Yikes! I think most people know about Robert Wagner and Natalie Wood on their yacht, Christopher Walken was aboard also. She (Natalie Wood) really did lead an unfortunately short life, it would seem that beautiful people die young. (I’m okay for a few years).

Douglas, Weinstein and many more of their ilk weren’t very nice people to work with, or, work under – allegedly.

Yeah, I don’t know much about him apart from the longevity and famous movies. Wasn’t aware of allegations of the sort Daisy mentions.

The Indo has run out of pro-FFG headlines. Back to the usual ‘lead up week’ ‘journalism’. It, and their paymasters are on the way out.
In the meantime, what quangos are being stuffed by FG this week?

nice scare mongering in The Independent, Coronavirus zones in every English hospital,
at first glance easy to not read the zone part,
is it helpful ?
everyone knows that neither the NHS or Irish hospitals will be able to deal with it when/if it gets here,
personally I think concerning the lad who was taken off the plane at Dublin airport, why was the rest of the plane allowed to wander quarantine free ?

When you think of it. The arrivals in the UK were met with medics all covered up as a precaution. And what do they do? Put them on buses where the drivers had no protection on. Drivers who would be in contact with hundreds of passengers every day.
Though it would be one sure way of getting a hospital bed, if you presented and could imitate the symptoms. Once in, then you get treated for the actual illness you have.

I’ve always found the quickest way to get seen in A&E is to sneakily administer yourself a serious head injury – no trolley nonsense then

last time I was seriously ill I saw my GP first and he sent me straight in, no line, plus you are sure your trip is necessary (coming from the kind of person who’s rather let it drop off than see a doctor ..granted)
lots of people waste the emergency rooms time
Brother Barnabas
true. problem for a lot of people though is that they cant get a GP appointment- I know someone who says it takes 2 or 3 days to get seen by her GP. that forces a lot of people to go straight to A&E instead.

That’s true,I had awful trouble getting one when I got back, had to go back to where they had my childhood stuff on record, on paper files, not very practical

Why would you wait for 2-3 days in A&E rather than wait 2-3 days for your GP in the comfort of you home?

Spot of bother up in Scotland today.
The SNP government’s Finance Minister and perceived successor to Sturgeon Derek Mackay was due to announce the country’s budget.
But after a great ambush by the Sun he’s been forced to resign for sending hundreds of ” inappropriate ” social media messages to a 16-year-old boy.
Not that any of this has been reported yet on the Irish Times online site.
Imagine their glee if it had been the Saj ?
This together with the upcoming Salmond alleged rape trial means poor optics for the SNP but it does at least help disguise their terrible health and education record.
…no decorum up there…a few stints in Westminster or terms at Eton would have taught him to settle for a pigs head or a satsuma…

Classic Boris.
Runs out of questions at the people’s PMQs so he starts chuntering on about Shakespeare.
It’s this jovial charm which helped win him the election …
I like that pic on the front of the Times.
RIP Kirk Douglas.
103 – as the English types say, he had a good innings.
…here Shayna…I hear your beloved Tyrone became the first UK GAA team to loose in Europe at the weekend…to Monaghan…

Straight to hell for raping Natalie Wood.
