Behold: the 1958 Ferrari 250GT LWB California Spider – the long wheel base version of the replica featured in’ Ferris Bueller’s Day Off’.

Right now, both are up for auction.

Between 1957 and 1963, only 107 were made and this V12 was the seventh to leave the factory. Sold new in Geneva, it has passed though the hands of a Swiss and a Japanese owner before ending up in California where it was restored, bestowed with Ferrari Classiche certification and presented for sale: yours for (probably) considerably less than the SWB fake from the movie.

Now that I can retire at 65 I can look forward to one of these yeah :)

(if u missed a joke in this, regardless of its quality, just stop typing that response now, thanks)

Given the day that is in it, I wonder if it comes in Racing Green.

Before people get upset, as it is normally called British Racing Green, it’s origin is in the Gordon Bennett Cup held in Ireland, and was green out of respect, and that the other colours were already taken :) So I claim it has Hibernian heritage.

SB afaik there is no link between this red Italian sports car made for the US market and British racing green AND Sinn Fein’s remarkable performance in the current election. Unless you know better like

The route (part of) that is the scene of more than one of my driving offences

Wasn’t driving anything like that now
