Incredible to think how many generations worked on that, from the first time someone said ‘if we put a wall on the edge, we can make this bit flat, up to what we see today. This is a feat to surpass that of the making of the pyramids (which, of course, had alien help :) ).
Practical question: when terracing, do you start at the top or the bottom, or the middle and work up and down?
