Harvey Weinstein

This afternoon.

The jury of seven men and five women at the New York supreme court took five days to reach their verdict.

The conviction marks the final comeuppance for a towering figure who wielded his power in the movie industry – as well as his commanding physical presence – over vulnerable young women seeking his help.

You’re confusing discussion of the legal outcome of a case with support for the person involved in it.
A common error amongst the woke.

You’re confusing her with someone who doesn’t know you’re a performative edgelord who saw the possibility of a monster getting away with rape as an opportunity to taunt ‘metoo drones.’

            ” a performative edgelord. ”
If I wasn’t half cut on Jaegerbombs I’m sure I’d have half a clue what you’re on about.
            To recap.
I speculated whether the prosecution had proven their case fully.
As it turned out they hadn’t on the most serious charges facing Weinstein.
At no stage did I opine that Weinstein was a wonderful human being who deserved to be cleared of all charges.
As Shakespeare wrote ” The more pity that fools may not speak wisely what wise men do foolishly.”

A wise fool knows a fool’s wisdom is the wisdom of foolsihness that fools the wise and and wises the fools.

I think he is gay myself- gay men have a habit of being abusive control freaks before they cop on.

      1. some old queen

Now Millie I ever said that. But, I have known a number of men whom while struggling with their sexuality were very abusive and at times violent towards women.

It is, in my personal opinion, a trait- especially in Muslim cultures, in my personal opinion.

Bit of an odd take – Weinstein was an rich and successful man working in the entertainment industry; he would be one of the people least likely to feel the need to have to hide his latent homosexuality…

You may be right, and you know more about the gay community than I do, so I don’t think I can comment any more than that.

But, I don’t think I agree with you re Weinstein. This is a man with a long history of abuse towards women, who by all accounts enjoyed using his powerful position in Hollywood as a means of coercion and abuse, a man who had no problem with tearing women who refused him down, who enjoyed using this power as a tool – got off on using it, maybe, in the way that bullies derive pleasure from the fear the inspire in their victims? Who are we to say for sure?

And just where the fupp have you been?
You can make your apology to the people of Ireland any time you like, kid.

wasn’t expecting this, considering how fupped up the USA is with granting amnesty for the rich on near all accounts. He’ll die in there now. And it’s not soft, rich guy prison either, he’s going straight to bottom-pounding prison.
